Re: Cor Bon vs Federal HST expansion test (yes, another video.)

In my un scientific mind, I am switching to the HSTs because I did not like how the CorBon came apart. The other thing that was not apparent in the pics was that the HST was almost ¾ an inch in diameter while the CorBon was just barely larger than caliber. Do I have any doubt that a BG would be ser...

Re: .357 snubbie

Courious, do you really get much more performance using .357 over .38 special +P loads out of a 2 inch barrel? 1200 fps versus 700 or 800 is significant if you ask me. I am just thinking with the short barrel if one is able to control it better with .38 hollow points and the .38 deffinitly has a hi...

Re: Cor Bon vs Federal HST expansion test (yes, another video.)

Thanks for posting this. Very interesting. What conclusions did you come to? My intial reaction would have been that the Federal HST performed better and would be the better choice but yesterday I read an interesting article on the subject of expansion, retention, and penetration in the latest issue...

Re: Basic Info on Long Guns

So it feels like it might be time to learn a little about long guns. I think I would like to buy a long gun. Naturally, it would be at a time when you pretty much can't find 'em and they cost double what they did just a year ago! The last long gun I shot was about 35 years ago in the army--the M16....

Re: Bushmaster carbine... $1100?

While I agree the present prices of ARs is crazy and I am by no means an expert in the history of AR pricing I can remember Cabela's and Gander pricing from 2 years ago being between $750-$1000 for a fairly basic AR depending on model of course. These may not be the best places for a deal I admit an...

Re: Carrying while biking

Could you please let me know where crime is guaranteed to never happen? That would be fantastic. On a bicycle trainer in your living room. Even if something did happen outside, you could just leave the gun on a coffee table for rapid deployment. :D But my living room has a serious lack of bikini cl...

Re: What's the coolest target/object you have shot?

A show I haven't seen for a while tha airs on the Discovery Channel - the name escapes me - always tests ballistic questions like - Shooting fish in a barrel and can you dive away from someone shooting you in the water. They are also fond of blowing things up. Mythbusters is the show you are referi...

Re: Carrying while biking

Post what you end up finding if you will. I have been looking for a similar solution, not for biking but if it works for that it may work for me.

Have you looked at any of the fanny pack solutions? I hate them myself but might be an option for this.
