Re: Entry Level Gun Safe @ Costco

Some insurance companies offer discounts with certain class of safes if you own a lot of guns with the firearm insurance. I get enough discount that the expensive safe will pay for itself. But yeah, I am not all that concerned about skilled thieves as I will lose, but I am concerned about children a...

Re: FNH FNS S&W 40

Other than that stupid click on safety. I really like the FNS. I have the model with the safety and when the model without a safety becomes available, I will probably order that one as well. If you want an external safety, then it isn't so bad. At least it positively clicks on and off and stays out ...

Process For Buying A Shotgun From FFL in MN

Some stores don't care to read the law to see who they can sell longguns to as the state regulation on purchase of longguns must be similar. For example, you can't sell to california resident because they have mandatory waiting periods on firearm purchases. However, resident of Texas has no such lim...

Re: These guys look to have 9mm Shield mags in stock

I see these in stores. The firearm itself is hard to find, but not the magazines.

Re: Stainless steel DPMS lower?

I remember one of these selling for around $280-$300 once, but cannot recall which site. This was several years back (about 4 -5 years ago). One issue with these lowers people pointed out was that it will wear out on the upper prematurely along with other connecting parts made of aluminum. Other tha...

Re: First carry weapon

I was looking at the xds, but the short grip turned me off. I have looked at a few that have short grips like that and dont like the way it feels in my hand. That isnt to say I dont want to hear more about the XDS, those have just been my thoughts so far. If you could tell more about your likes/dis...

Re: First carry weapon

Make sure you can find the SR1911 before getting your mind set on getting it. They are very difficult to find.

Nothing wrong with carrying full size guns if it fits your lifestyle. I carry full size concealed more often than compact or sub-compact guns.

Re: 3-gun Match - Dust em' off

Anyone that lives or went to the range today, what is the road condition out to the range? Debating whether to drive my wife's car or my truck out that way.

Re: 3-gun Match - Dust em' off

Be careful what ammo you have. You cannot shoot steel core, penetrator rounds at steel targets.
