Re: Buying a new rifle

I'd go with the .308. The .270 is a fine deer round, but the .308 will have more ammunition choices, and be more than enough to take any game at any distance you will encounter in MN.

Re: Dillon 550B Press question

You only need the one true caliber 8-)

And if you need to buy conversion kit and die set, this is an ok deal. Not great.

Re: Chipotle doesn't want our business

I'll keep eating at Chipotle. Since we're using WW@ imagery, Fatman and Little Boy need to be dropped out of a B29 at high altitude. Dumb.

Re: H&R 12G Tracker Sighting Problems

try this- 1) reset the scope to middle of adjustment rage for height and windage. Do this by turning adjustment ring all the way to a stop. Turn in other direction all the way to the other stop, counting the clicks. reverse direction and count off half the clicks. 2) secure the gun with bags/pillows...

Re: H&R 12G Tracker Sighting Problems

Lots of variables can cause that-

-Mis-aligned screw holes- drilled poorly at factory.
- poor quality (cheap) base and or rings
- poor quality scope
-Incorrectly mounted base and or rings

What base, rings, and scope are you using?

Re: RFI: Need a WWI 1911 Expert

Find dsk on 1911forum.com. He used to be a moderator or admin for that site. Might still be.

He is a walking encyclopedia on older 1911s.

Re: James River Armory AK

James River makes nice stuff. Pricey, but nice. They had tables at large gun shows back east and had beautifully restored Garands.

Re: Freedom Group for sale?

Cerberus has been half heartedly trying to sell Freedom Group since the Sandy Hook shooting. As to the linked article, it smells of a small time business owner fishing for free publicity. Cerberus recapitalized Freedom Group and bought out their "uncomfortable" investors. In PE, everythin...

Re: Powder for .45 ACP

I've gravitated to 231 as my "one size fits all" powder for .45ACP, 9mm and .38 Special. Tried TiteGroup, but it's too "mild to wild" for my taste. In .45ACP 231 provides a couple key benefits to new (and experienced) hand-loaders - 1) A wide range of safe charge weights 2) meter...

Re: Big trouble with the Precision Delta group buy

It's bad enough that this forum is being used to air dirty laundry. He screwed members of this forum, using the forum as a vehicle. T.P.F.K.A.M, aka Monschman (and whatever other screen name the thieving little vaginal wash container is now using) did same. It's not cool, it's not OK, and it's not ...
