Re: Cleaning a rusty barrel

CLP will eventually remove bluing. I wonder if there are smiths that specialize in rescuing old guns. I worked on an old 22 with some rust on it. I remember using fine wool to remove the rust and then rebluing the barrel. But, the rifle only had little rust, so the amateur job wasn't too bad. I am g...

Re: Is the NRA Being Sued Out of Existence?

Legal Eagle is a hack. There are real lawyers like Alan Dershowitz and Robert Barnes that shred everything that comes out of legal eagles mouth as funny and hilariously false. I can't recall the name of the YouTube lawyer, who used to analyze legal eagle's conclusions. Basically, legal eagle either ...

Re: Rhinoplasty

Shot it yesterday, everything worked well. Seems to me morale of the workers must be low for a gun to leave the bench dripping oil. Either that or, no more pride in workmanship.

Re: Rhinoplasty

I am just curious with customer support from chiappa.

I was pretty angry with a dripping gun. I am not exaggerating. Gun left a puddle when I set it on the bench. Rotating the cylinder sent drops into my face. What the H.

Re: Rhinoplasty

Rodentman, when the Rhino came back from the service was it drenched with oil? Dripping, like the whole gun was soaking in it.

Doesn't show pride in workmanship. I think Chiappa will be avoided from now on.

S&W SW1911

I own a S&W SW1911 and I thought about getting a threaded barrel for it. However, sw1911 uses an external extractor. Anyone here know if a standard 1911 barrel will fit?

I have the full size and sw1911-sc which is a commander size.

Re: 9mm subsonic powder coated 147 grain bullets

Seems consistent at 3.2, 3.6, and 3.8. ftf at 3.2 and little pressure signs at 3.8. so 3.6 seems a good choice.
