Re: Looking for Steel 55 Gallon Drums

I don't debate that "Incineration" is one of the best forms of destruction. But open-burning it in a barrel isn't "incinerating it". HERC in Minneapolis is a garbage incinerator. They have monitoring and scrubber systems to make their exhaust relatively pollutant free -- much lik...

Re: My Man Cave

I'm digging what I assume are your security measures. Steel flats over the panels on your solid core door, and arranged over the window? In setting up my own "Man Cave", that was one thing I was trying to plan for -- and short of buying a steel core door (big $$$), I like your idea!

Re: Looking for Steel 55 Gallon Drums

Been watching the back and forth, and I'm going to interject the environmental side of this for a second. One moment while I put on my flame suit. http://www.pca.state.mn.us/index.php/living-green/living-green-citizen/reduce-reuse-recycle/don-t-burn-your-garbage.html Its a horrible way to dispose of...

Re: Traveling with my handgun ... update!

So here's a new one. I was flying Delta and checked my bag like I normally do, declared unloaded, etc etc etc. The gate agent insisted on putting a "CAGPT" sticker on my bag (which had my locked hard case inside). When I asked her, she said it was "So they'll know in back that there's...

Re: Where go purchase a revolver

IMHO, Frontiersman in St Louis Park is a likely choice. Just don't be intimidated when you walk in the front door! :)

Re: buying a handgun: what do I need to know?

Your posts/responses seem to be at odds with each other. I'm probably wrong. Hiding a handgun from your wife isn't something that makes for a good marriage; nor good safety in the home. Think about how you're going to keep it secure, not just from her, but from visitors/guests/robbers. Take plblark'...

Re: buying a handgun: what do I need to know?

Honey, I bought a Gun. I bought a safe to lock it in. I'm taking a class next week to learn how to use it. I know it will take some time for you to get comfortable with. If you want to take lessons, I know a good coach and trainer. +1 to plblark. Its not really something you should surprise her wit...

Re: GOOD LUCK---------STAY SAFE

Wear your fall protection, don't doze off, make sure of your target...and save the drinking for after the hunt (sorry, thats the professional in me.)

Here's hoping to taking off for deer camp early Thursday night! Good luck Gents & Ladies!

Re: Hunting other critters while deer hunting

I've shot 2 grouse with my Judge while walking out to my stand from lunch. Load it with 2.5" #6's and fire away! Then it sits back in the holster.

Re: gun storage at a shooting range?

You need to approach it as others have recommended. 1) Come up with a secure storage option. Depending on what type of rifle you have -- you can buy a long shank flexible lock, and run it through the open action before locking it shut as well. Barring that, buy the 10-gun Stack On security cabinet. ...
