MN Restricted - Sig Sauer

Found a deal on gundeals and went to order and I'm getting a message that it's not available with any MN zip code. I put a WI zip code and it'll let me order. It's been a little while since I ordered an AR15 pistol upper, but never encountered any issues before. Anything change for MN or is this jus...

Pmag price increase.

Gen 2s don't fit too well in some billet lowers like my Spikes the Jack lower. Gen 3s are true milspec and fit fine. I really like the identification feature as I do use different ammunition. If that matters to you buy Gen 3 or stick with Gen 2.

16" Carbine Slick Side AR15 Upper

I didn't do the build so I'm not sure the manufacturers. It's a slick side upper (marked T on rear lug). This is Carbine length with quad rails, and a railed gas block. The barrel is marked 5.56 with a 1/9 twist (SA marking). $225 without bcg & charging handle $300 with bcg & charging handle...

Gen4 mag release on Gen3 G17

That's very creative. I fear I would ruin the frame if I tried it however. I'm not really that good with drills! It's a good video, I've only touched a dremel to one gun and that was a 22/45 lite to replace the chamber indicator. I justify buying a 4th gen Glock and having an extra Glock! Sent from...

29.99 lowers

I wasn't charged anything extra over whatever the sticker price was on a lower from SG last fall. How long ago was this $10 added? They have a full blown guns section now after the remodel (last year). February. I double checked and was charged this fee for a handgun. Looking at their site I believ...

Social Media Stuff

Pretty much all of my Facebook and Instagram are about guns. I don't go online at work though. It's best that my coworkers don't know how into guns I am. I work in an office that guns are seen as a bad thing. There are certain people I know that shoot, but how I see it I don't want my career limited...

Fixed vs. Adjustable Stock

I run adjustable because I'm the guy friends and family come to when they want to shoot. My wife is short 5'2"- if I want her to be able to shoot it needs to be adjustable. Unless you are running around in the dead of winter with thick layers on I can't see it mattering too much. If you do swit...

Reeds Gun Fair, April 21-23

Well the weather wasn't that great (Sunday morning) and I came way underdressed (shorts). It's a whole different climate sometimes passed St Cloud! Got there for the open with the National Anthem! Shot a bunch of guns, got in on the full auto shoot. Brought my daughter and she shot her first 22 pist...

Hello!

Since you asked start with the Lower. It's the easy part and the tools are low cost. If you enjoy that order the vice and parts for the upper. If you didn't enjoy it order a complete upper and push the pins in!

Magwell Vice Blocks

Anything in the lower receiver, I was taught with a roll of tape. Set the lower on the tape roll making sure the pins will fall through the middle of the tape roll. Use some painters tape by the pin on the receiver. When installing use new pins and the downward pressure helps. Focus on spending your...

Suggestions for new female shooter

Osseo gun club has a basic pistol class for women taught by a woman. You start by shooting in their digital area and then move to shooting an actual gun. My wife did it without me and it really got her interested.

Rifle Stock Painting or Dipping

For Hydrodipping stocks, I've always used Waldochs up by Forest Lake. They are used to dipping rims and car parts so their tanks are way bigger than any gun stock. Their materials hold up to weather and rocks on a rim of a truck so I've never had any issue with quality. Plus they charge by size- so ...
