Just another way to manipulate behavior. Sad, but I think that has to be a consideration. Side note: No one of any official status has ever, to my knowledge, said this but I've read comments that you can't eat wild game that's been shot because the lead contaminates the meat. Again, this wasn't any...
When I worked on guns for a living...a large percentage of guns that came in with the complaint "it don't work" or my favorite " gun no go bang"...just needed to be cleaned and lubed. Just curious, how many guns came in not working because some "inappropriate" lubrican...
dismal-Thanks for the link. There's a lot of good information from that guy, he doesn't answer my question but supplies a bunch of information about safes that I did not know.
I'm still looking for an answer to my question: Is there a 'backdoor' combination to the safe that Liberty has, that cannot be changed by the owner of the safe?
So does Liberty have a code, that you cannot change, that will open the safe? If yes, is the code different for each individual safe out there? I guess it could be handy is some situations but sounds like it could be a major security concern too.
Reminds me of that old joke that anthropologists have discovered the link between primitive man and civilized man, it's us. As for jdege's comment: So, for me to give up my guns, all we'd need is for no one to want me to. I like it. Reminds me of the Catch 22 of the anti-gun movement where they thin...
Hurumph! Well. There's this quote from the article too. For most of the nation’s history, the Supreme Court has held that the rights conferred by the Second Amendment were within the confines of a militia, and that it did not confer an individual right to gun ownership. That changed in 2008, when a ...
One of us who isn’t known in the gun community should pull a Mary McFate and apply. I was thinking the same thing. You know it wouldn't take much to push a couple of their points over the edge to actually offend the majority of Minnesotans. They wouldn't realize it until the push back came and even...
Red Flag (gun confiscation) Laws used MALICIOUSLY??? As Gomer would say: "Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!" -------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's another, famous one, that's already played out where the Red Flag (gun confiscation) Law was used against a p...
Front page story in today's (Thursday, August 17, 2023) Pioneer Press was about a possible make over of the Como Park Pavilion. What do you think the chances are that they will put the shooting range back in the basement/ground floor of the pavilion? ('Class? Class? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?')
I once had a very good teacher school us about statistics. It was very interesting/enlightening. One cynical joke he told was '95% of the population admits to sometimes exceeding the speed limit. This tells us that 5% of the population lies when polled.' Back in the 1960's I kind of remember folk fe...
Journalist's Guide to Firearms Identification I've seen that poster many times and yet it still makes me laugh. Whoever came up with it is, IMhO, a genius. I am ALWAYS perplexed that 'journalists', who are supposed to be after the TRUTH, who are supposed to go out and find the NEWS and then present...
