Re: Savage 243 project, long range, first test

Very nice! Love the chambering too! .243 always seems to get down played compared to the other 6mms but I always have had a soft spot for it...

Re: Only allowed one firearm?

I typicaly carry a Ruger Mark III when grouse hunting, have for along time. Never know when you might get a still shot at a squirrel and a head shot with a .22 ruins no meat. Carring a 1911 would be no different in the field permit or no permit. As mentioned hunting regs do apply and affect some are...

Re: Territorial Gunsmiths is no more

Good for him. I have had the honor of interacting with him on a few occasions over the last 12 years or so. Always was a source of knowledge that could not be found anywhere else. Advice was always free no matter if he knew you or not and this was the valuble type of advice. Just a top notch individ...

Re: Recomendations on Pentax glass

I have to reccomend Nikon. I think they have the best value out there. Quality optics at a reasonable price. Their Buckmasters series is very nice to the pocket book and if you want to step it up a bit the Monarch line is just great. I have 3 of their scopes presently in use, one for 5 seasons now a...

Re: Looking for gunsmith

Randy Hengl (Territorial Gunsmiths) in Hopkins would be who I would call first. Either he will be able to help you out or will know who you should see.

Re: Cabela's Rodgers Customer Service - Grade "F"

they have always been the Nordstrom of the gun business. My experiances there have mimicked this sentament. In fact just returned from there a couple of minutes ago. Did not have what I was looking for in stock but that is the way of things. I guess I have found when they are busy it can be difficu...

Re: Advice on BB/Pellet rifle for child

The Daisy carbine BB gun it a bit shorter and easier to handle then the RR but the lever on those is tough for a youngster. Started both my kids on one though. Another thought is a fore-end pump model. When the older one was able to move to a .22 or .410 and the younger really wanted to move up from...

Re: How much to spend on a new scope?

If you really want to mess yourself up, please do the following. After spending several weeks searching for the perfect scope in your price range, go to Cabelas and look through a Swarovski. It is so damned bright and clear, you will kick yourself for not winning the lottery ;) Ani't that the truth...

Re: Guns in Bars, I for one don't like it!

First off I never said I wanted to play games? I do not play games. I say what I mean. I am very direct in my communication. Second, is there someting you want to say? You seem that you want to imply something. I am not sure who you are calling a "gun grabber" or what you mean by that. Tw...
