I have no experience with that particular brand of air rifle but in my experience air rifles are louder than a locked breach suppressed .22 with subsonic ammo.

Re: Really Quiet 22LR

If you invest in a silencer, then your quiet ammunition options increase immensely, as any subsonic round will be quiet enough for your purposes. Just like planting a tree, the best time to start the paperwork was yesterday, the second best time is today.

Good luck!

Re: Permit delays - MN Gun Owners Caucus needs your help

one of my students called me and said Ramsey Cty called him and rescheduled his Jan appt to next Wed. They are opening a satellite office at the patrol station on Hiway 96 Apparently the mere threat of legal action has caused Sheriff Fletcher to change things in a hurry. A friend in White Bear Lake...

Re: Firearms price ranges

Also now that I think of it, what is involved in purchasing a firearm that is on Minnesota's SAMSAW list? If ordering from the manufacturer who confirms one's PtP or carry permit status, the seller or the FFL intermediary? The FFL when you do the paperwork. ??? So you don’t go through an FFL? I don...

Re: Firearms price ranges

To expand on what LarryFlew said about quality of parts - that can be things like chrome lined barrel, or not. Cheap plastic (or cheap wood even) handguards vs handguards that have some feature desired by the AK market - bulged or not, laminated or not, even the color or country of origin. What muzz...

NICs denial?

A relative just got a NICs denial yesterday. He's been away from guns a long time and way back when, was only a very light hunter. A couple months ago he got his MN carry permit and bought a pistol and passed NICs then. He tried to buy another gun yesterday and got denied. Any good links I can pass ...

Club lead removal?

Does anyone know how local clubs deal with lead removal? I don't think my club has a great process and I'd like to hear how others do it. Thinking outdoor lead removal from dirt and sand backstops, not trap ranges or indoor ranges. Mostly rifle and pistol bullets.

Thanks,

Re: 870 slug options

Not a deer hunter but my smoothbore 870 with ghost ring sights can do about 6" groups at 100 yards with the cheap Remington slugs. At deer rifle sight-in at my gun club, a good modern shotgun with optic can do 3-4" groups at 100 yards and likely better but the shooter is often the weak poi...

Re: Gun club application creates controversy near Courtland

Re: bulk 5.56 case prep?

So, revisiting this. I got out my turret press for the first time on Saturday and deprimed and sized a few hundred rounds in under 45 minutes. It worked quite well and is obviously only part of case prep but got me thinking bulk case prep with multiple touches per case might not be that bad. I'm thi...

FS/FT US Alice Packs

GONE, leaving post here for posterity. For sale or trade - 3 US Army Alice Packs. 1 large with a frame, 1 medium with a frame, and 1 medium with no frame or straps. All are in pretty good shape, all buckles and whatnot are intact and work. I just don't use them any more and haven't for years. $100 f...
