Re: A bit of a Curfuffle...

Evidently your New Wife has too much idle time on her hands,,,I think the proper thing to do is give her some chores to fill up her day,,,I would suggest 1,,have her paint the House 2,,Wax your Car 3,,wax her Car 4,,Change the oil on your car 5,,Mow the lawn 6,,straighten out the garage and Attic, ...

Re: Almost bought a Kahr, but instead...

Reports I've read on XD talk have been mixed, some have been downright bad. Some folks have had perfect results though.....be sure to let us know how it feeds defensive loads (if you get around to testing them). I fired a handful of FMJ last night, but otherwise I was feeding it Federal Hydra-shoks...

Re: Almost bought a Kahr, but instead...

Thanks to both Lunchbox and Strad for coming out to shoot tonight. I had a good time, shot a bunch of cool stuff, and found that I LOVE that XD-S. It will be in my carry rotation before I expected. Solid little pistol, that.

Re: Need some advice please.

Dummy ammunition, dry fire and trigger control Yep...this. Dummy rounds and dry-firing are great. Next time we go out, I'll load up a few magazines with a few dry rounds randomly dispersed. Concentrate on that front sight and when the dummy comes up, you'l physically see what you are doing with tha...

Re: Need some advice please.

Went shooting(pistols) tonight and it was pointed out to me I'm rather flinchy, I've know this but didn't want to admit it to myself. Even with platforms I've shot countless times and should be comfortable with. I know a trainer would the way to go but at this point in time I can't afford one and v...

You can ask for those instead of being in the chaos of the main range?

My theory is that you can ask for anything in the world. They can--and probably will--say no.

Re: Almost bought a Kahr, but instead...

Limited shooting of one but the trigger was very nice and super accurate. I've gotten feedback from 2 customers that love them. Great accuracy and no malfunctions. They shoot very nice for a small 45. Glad to hear it, thanks! Strad and I will put it through its paces tonight. I'm really looking for...

Re: I assume this is what a central nervous sys hit looks like

Especially when it came to medical "testing". We got to talking about some examples like the sarin test in my medical ethics class. It was quite interesting. It went beyond small controlled experiments as well. In the 1950's the Army sprayed zinc cadmium over the Twin Cities (1957) to tes...

Re: Got my PTC

There is a lot of great info in this thread! Just to add to the list: Some of recommended the Galco King Tuk, which is a great holster; however, somewhat declining quality recently (hopefully temporary, because they are great). For a similar style and very high quality, I recommend the Crossbreed Su...
