Re: HF 1467 Back to the MN Senate Committee

It passed out of the Finance committee on a vote of 10/5. If you're interested, you can watch it at http://www.senate.leg.state.mn.us/media ... 020912.flv . It was the 2nd bill heard today.

Re: Caucus straw poll results.

Time will tell. But you may be underestimating the desire to move the country in a different direction. In my caucus, two older guys who had also attended previous cauci as supporters of more conventional type candidates both spoke up. One for Paul and the other for Santorum.

Re: Are we all going to the Caucus Tomorrow

If I understand how this works (this is only my 2nd caucus) we need to promote a constitutional amendment as a part of the party platform for the future at the caucus, am I correct? What other ideas should we be promoting? As a practical matter you don't get to vote on much that the political parti...

Re: Bloomberg pushes gun control with Super Bowl Ad

What a couple of boneheads. Did they tell you anywhere in the ad that a recent study found that mayors belonging to Bloomberg’s group have been arrested at a much higher rate than Tennessee handgun-carry permit holders, for crimes ranging from perjury and embezzlement to child sexual assault. But th...

Re: Posting s/n

Not that it may not have been tried, but I've never heard of it and no one here has shown a documented case of this happening. The suggestion that someone would use a serial number gathered from an online auction or gun show table sounds a lot like Bloomberg's claim that private sales at gun shows i...

Re: Starbucks Appreciation Day

Facebook has some good humor on this. The anti side has less than 500 who are even aware of this. OTH, our side, seems to have slightly more interest. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

ETA: what was that about a movement without a following. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Re: New Ruger 22 pistol

I didn't have any trouble with mine. Ran 100 or so rounds of a couple different types of ammo. Here's one target.

Re: MN Permit to carry - training classes

I know this instructor (in fact, I carry one of his cards in my wallet). He's a member of American Legion Post 435 gun club, as well as Legion Post 550 in Bloomington. He's a certified DNR FAS instructor, teaches the first aid/survival portion of Post 435's FAS class, and acts as RSO at 435's field...

I thought of that. But, it had nothing to do with the gun being dropped and going off. :D

Re: Starbucks Appreciation Day

I realize many of you guys probably don't buy expensive coffee often (myself included), but this was too good to pass up. The Coalition to Stop Human Rights Gun Violence (CSGV) is organizing a "Boycott Starbucks" day on Valentine's Day, February 14th. Naturally, the Pro-Gunnie Blogs are o...

Re: Starbucks Appreciation Day

Call me paranoid, but I'm always a little leery open carrying around a bunch of protesting, whineypants, attention whore, antis. I wouldn't put it past these folks to do something stupid like try to grab a gun out of its holster, just to cause a stink and get some publicity. If I were to go to Star...
