Re: Controlled Chaos Arms Tactical Rifle Class AAR

The guys from CCA are great shooters and guys. I had the pleasure of meeting the at a shotgun course a couple of years ago. There are a lot of great training opportunities around the area as Una Stamus mentioned. Aaron which vickers course are you going to? We are hosting him in Brainerd this summer...

Re: red dot placement

Una Stamus and I often agree on things and this in another one of those times. I prefer the front of the upper receiver for all of the reasons mentioned. From there you can fine tune for you and your preferences. Gman, I haven't trained with Farnam so I can't say, but looking at the bio you posted h...

Local AR15 "Expert"

Guy couldn't get barrel nut to torque properly and makes a shim from a Sara lee pie plate. Puts shim in between barrel ext and upper messing up head space. This wouldn't affect headspace at all, but could prevent the cam pin from operating properly and preventing the bolt from achiving lock in batt...

Re: Is there a regular get together out this way (brainerd)

Nice to meet you guys as well. My wife and I work rotating shifts and weeks but if something is scheduled I'll try to make it.

Re: Local AR15 "Expert"

Hi guys, I guess destroy implies the firearms, in my head I was meaning destroyed various components. Poor wording on my part, sincere apology. I agree that with the modularity of the AR you can replaced the damaged item. So here's some from the wall of shame Guy couldn't get barrel nut to torque pr...

Re: Local AR15 "Expert"

I don't disagree that there are some great resources out there, in fact I'm going to try to add to that with a new YouTube channel project I've been working on. But just watching a video or reading directions doesn't make you an expert. I've had the pleasure of working on a lot of guns, it's somethi...
