WTB: plain jane mil-spec carbine six-position stock

I bought a mil-spec stock from OpticsPlanet back in Nov -$16- and I figured it'd work great for a build I'm doing. Their expected shipping was Jan 15. Now I see it just says "April". Jeez. So I figured mybe someone out there has one they don't need anymore. (I need the one with the 'slots'...

Re: Dumb question: silicon in receiver holes as 'filler' ?

A buddy of mine just dropped off a bottle of Jack. He BOUGHT a barrel from the distillery and -as per the MN laws- they emptied his selected barrel into bottles in order to deliver it. Think of all the good ideas just waiting to well up from that brain-storming session!

Re: Dumb question: silicon in receiver holes as 'filler' ?

I will blame the absent of thought of set screws on Evan Williams. He can be so dumb sometimes!

Dumb question: silicon in receiver holes as 'filler' ?

I was brainstorming after a bourbon last night and here's that thought: I bought a Tikka T3 this last summer pretty cheap, so I didn't care that the mount/receiver screws were missing; I'm scoping it anyway. But- there's six tiny holes and only four are used for my DNZ mount. I've had moisture=rust ...

Right scope for my Marlin 45-70 DNZ 1" Mount?

I'm sad. I had a 4x Trijicon that I thought would be perfect for my 1885 so I got a 1" DNZ high mount and put it all together. But the scope has a large front 'bell' that has to clear the hammer so sits way far back. Too much for good eye relief. So I threw on an old Leupold that clears the ham...

(gone)

I'll never need these; 200 Federal Match and 300 CCI Primers. I could use large pistol or large rifle primers. (Pics aren't loading for some reason)(?)

Trade: brand new RCBS Case Lube Pad, trade for...?

I have a brand new shrink-wrapped RCBS lube pad that I won't be needing. Anyone have a need for it? What have you got? These are worth, what? $10? $15? So not very much..... Better it go to someone that can use it.

Re: .22 long range matches- new Savage or my old Win 69?

Are these usually iron sights or scoped? If scoped, I may use my Jager with the whole nine yards! (jacket, mat, sling, glove, etc)

.22 long range matches- new Savage or my old Win 69?

This might be one of those, "if you have to ask, you already know the answer". But it'd be fun to hear other's opinions... Fads come and go of course, remember when 3-gun was all the rage. So now it seems like .22 long range matches are becoming popular. I think it's a cheap (less costly?)...

Re: What rifle do you think these rings fit?

(OP here) it is fun, I'll admit that! They might go into a 'grab bag' for whenever the next true gun show is. Or they may just go into my black hole of a basement where all misc gun parts go to be sucked into some time warp vortex to show up again in xx years.

Re: What rifle do you think these rings fit?

You can sell the rings separately, but the front base will be useless without the matching(missing) rear Thanks! (So there was a base much like the other one? What's odd is that the other ring twists in like the old Sako rings but the other ring doesn't have such a small T that would lock into a mo...

Re: The Perfect Spotting Scope

All kidding aside, I think it's kinda cool that you repurposed the photo stuff for shooting. There'll always be the argument of a konus vs your 'multipurpose' rig, mirage readings, etc, but just enjoy it.
