Re: Looking for a good 22LR pistol

There's a S&W 422 on Armslist right now for $325. I have the 6" version of that same gun. Always been very reliable, it was my first pistol from back in the late 80's. Those also make great suppressor hosts because the barrel is in the lower half of the front receiver (?) section, so seeing...

Re: bulk 5.56 case prep?

Here's what I do for case prep. Works very well for me. https://gunstreamer.com/embed/AKNLbWbdilRalCu That's great and close to what I was thinking, just a ton fancier. I see swageit.com has a 550b swager. I wonder if I could set up station 2 to deprime and the rotate backwards to station 1...

bulk 5.56 case prep?

I'm following the swaging thread closely. I have a similar need. I have a couple presses, a Dillon 550b that I've used pretty much only for pistol calibers and that works great and is very simple. Then my friend who sold it all to me showed the process for 5.56 and I got depressed at all the extra s...

HK 3 lug adapter in the Twin Cities?

Does anyone know of a Twin Cities store that has 1/2 x 28 to HK 3 lug adapters in stock? I think the one I currently have is slightly out of spec but it might be the adapter on the suppressor as well. I'd like to find one in person I can try with my can if possible.

Thanks,

Re: Step 1, clean brass in tumbler (How?)

I assume it doesn't matter, but is white rice also good to go for tumbling pistol brass? I'm low on media and might buy a small bag of rice just to try it soon.

1911 9mm question

I'm in the market for a new 1911-type pistol. My requirements - high capacity (for a 1911 anyway), 9mm, light rail, 5" barrel. Front strap checkering would be nice but I can add that if necessary. Threaded barrel would be nice but I can add that as well. Looking for something reliable enough fo...

Re: Dealer to transfer new suppressor from out of state?

Thanks guys. I’m very close to Lakeville, so I will check with Accutac tomorrow and see if they can help. One year of stupidity is right. That’s what’s stopped me from getting any up until now. Oh well, I know our benevolent overlords only make these laws for our own good, and I trust them complete...

Accutac arms in Lakeville. Good people, efficient, know what they are doing.

Good luck!

Re: Chiappa 1873 SAA in 22LR.

I don't think Ruger wranglers are MN legal due to their frame construction. Pretty sure they run afoul of MN's asinine Saturday night special laws. They are plentiful and cheap in South Dakota last time I was there. I saw them as low as $180 at the Sioux Falls gun show in Jan or Feb, whenever that w...

Re: Low velocity AR pistol build for HD?

That's gotta be crazy, crazy loud for HD no? You could load a 9mm carbine / SBR and get that same muzzle energy with less powder, noise, etc. I'm getting 1320fps with a 124gn JHP 9mm in my little CZ Scorpion...480 ft-lbs It's not unbearably loud. just a little louder than a normal AR according to m...

Re: My lightweight AR build

I only saw one pic, was there another one? Screenshot (232).png That was pretty much it, I think there's a pic of the lightweight BCG in the album. https://photos.app.goo.gl/EEW9ijPJ18GmJgct5 If anyone wants more detailed pics, let me know. I had it out today but it was way too windy to even try fo...

I tried that first and it would wipe out the text in the post, tried it a couple times. I'll play with it more tomorrow.

My lightweight AR build

I didn't really have a particular goal weight in mind, but rather a lightweight build without breaking the bank and shooting for 5lbs with a free float handguard. I slowly built up the parts over a year or two, as it wasn't really a priority. It all started with Classic Arms having a deal on Fostech...

What a great picture! Glad you got out and used the range; I didn't get out there to shoot but will later this week for sure.
