Re: 2nd Saturday North Breakfast

macphisto wrote:Whoever had the audacity to pay for my breakfast better watch his back. When I find out who you are, you're gonna get yours.

You were there? Sh!t, if I had seen you, I'd have come over and said "hi". How's that brewing equipment working out for you?

Re: Sportsman’s Warehouse Closing 23 Stores

Just got back from SW Woodbury. No rifle primers (large or small), less than 1000 each of small and large pistol primers (magnum only, no regular), only a couple thousand shotgun primers. Very limited selection of bullets (mainly Speer and Hornady) and powder (mainly Hodgdon, IMR and VV in 1# canist...

Re: Sportsman’s Warehouse Closing 23 Stores

I visited Sportsman's for the first time today (Woodbury). They've got a lot more reloading stuff than Gander. Sad to see them go. Vulture alert: Pretty much everything I saw was 10% off. I'm sure that number will increase quickly. Was planning on going there after the 2nd Saturday breakfast. Hope ...

Doesn't DE make a .357?

Yes, they do. IIRC, the original DE was a .357.

Re: 2nd Saturday North Breakfast

Only met a half-dozen or so people when I was there last month, so I'll be there again. Looking forward to meeting a few more people. I promise I won't sit over in the corner and act anti-social this time.

Re: Latest scope models, need clarification

EJSG19 wrote:Burris was mentioned, what would be the roughly equivalent scope in the Burris line? I am even less familiar with those.

IIRC, the Burris equivalent to the Monarch would be the Black Diamond.

Re: Latest scope models, need clarification

The Nikon Monarch is an excellent scope, and is on my short list for when I (finally) purchase a target/varmint rifle. As for a comparable Leupold, I believe it would be either the VX-II or VX-3 series.

Re: MN gun control bill aims to close sales loophole

I received a response from my Representative. Sounds like the anti crowd is blowing a lot of sunshine up the representatives asses to make this sound like a good bill. They need to hear from you or this will be passed. Be sure to give one or more substantive reasons why they need to oppose this bil...

Re: MN gun control bill aims to close sales loophole

The permits and their renewal shall be granted free of charge for a fee not to exceed $5 above the expenses incurred by the chief of police or sheriff for processing the transferee permit application. Had to read the bold a couple times to make sure I didn't misinterpret the wording. Am I the only ...
