Where to shoot?

I've been a member up at Del-Tone in St. Cloud, but it's bit of a trip and their range only goes to 200yds. They've also had some legal hassles this year which has closed their pistol and 200 yd range (which I know they're working on). I'm looking for a place to shoot closer to the NW suburbs, prefe...

Re: Firearms Insurance

With State Farm, our home owner's policy had a set amount they'd pay to reimburse for firearms (I think it was $5k). There was a separate amount for jewelry. If you want coverage over and above that you need to take out a separate rider, listing each item with a description, serial# and value. You g...

Oh, by the way, thanks for all the welcome notes everybody! Seems like a friendly place. Didn't know that was allowed on internet gun forums. LOL

Re: New guy from Rogers

Amithus, I'll probably be in the Open class, as I don't really have a .308 or .223 set up for that kind of shooting. I'm not expecting to be all that competitive, especially at first. I'm just looking for a fun venue for shooting/practice at long range. I've shot steel out to 900 yds, and have had a...

Re: Best place to sell tools?

My condolences to you and your family. I'm a half-a$$ed weekend mechanic, and I bought a lot of my tools piece by piece (or small sets) from retiring mechanics on e-bay. The advantage to me is that I could get just what I wanted, the advantage to the seller is that they get national exposure. You ca...

Re: New guy from Rogers

Drive by that all the time. I'm probably not a potential customer, I'll honk. :)

Re: New guy from Rogers

Thunderjohn,

Yes, Mark and I have a friendly relationship. It's friendly because I give him money and he gives me green toys.

Re: New guy from Rogers

k9barco,

If you visit the Cabelas in Rogers, look closely on the west wall, I think they have a plaque engraved with my name on it. Well, they should anyway... I'm pretty sure I've paid for that wall by now.

Tim, what business? I'll be sure to patronize it (unless it's the quilt shop).

New guy from Rogers

Hi,

Just joined and it seems like announcing it here is the thing to do.

Looking forward to talking with some local folks. I'm into hunting mostly, I reload and have some interest and experience/training in long range shooting. I'm thinking of getting into F-class.
