Re: help finding old press parts

Do you know what the part number is? Midway has some cartridge ejectors that people are complaining doesn't fit - maybe it's for yours? http://www.midwayusa.com/product/872859/hornady-lock-n-load-ap-progressive-press-cartridge-ejector http://www.midwayusa.com/product/221054/hornady-lock-n-load-ap-p...

Re: Bulk Pistol Bullets

I've loaded a variety of plated projectiles. Berry's are the WORST IMHO. Very thin plating. If you over crimp the platting will strip and you will get tumbling/ and crap ton of leading. I know you are running a glock barrel but I would still recommend a moly coated projectile. They are less temperam...

Re: Different brass marks on deflector.

This may not be the answer you are looking for, but when I tune an ar-15 I tune it with the gas system. Most of my guns have an adjustable gas block, but I'm tuning mostly for recoil impulse and for quicker follow up shots.

Re: M4 ramps in A2 upper?

Are there any manufacturers that make A2 fixed handle upper receivers with the M4 feed ramp cuts? I have a 20" gov profile BCM flat top upper that has M4 ramps. I was going to just slap on a detach carry handle, but thought an A2 upper would be more classic. So while it's not technically corre...

Re: shtf? MOA attack?

I got no problem with the serious security at Airports, but, if that kind of security winds up every place you turn around, then.................................maybe those @#@#%$$#@ #@#$, WON! The added security at airports has cost many more lives then it has saved. It has not only inconvenienced...

Re: Revolver for my wife

IMHO the LCR is probably the WORST choice for shooter that is recoil adverse, lacks grip strength, or wants to have a pleasant time at the range. Short sight radius, long double action trigger, and jaring recoil doesn't equal a fun afternoon at the range. I carry a small j-frame, and it's quite puni...

Re: DIY cheek riser

Nice to see all the helpful folks berating a newbie who is inexperienced and trying to DIY.

Such a pleasant environment here, I can just breathe in the love.

Who says gun owners are a bunch of angry old men.....I can't imagine where they would get that idea.

GONE

I have a Midway USA range bag, it is heavily used, but still functional, and dusty. Pistol sleeves may or may not be included (i'm still cleaning I may find them). New they look like this. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/939221689/midwayusa-competition-range-bag?cm_vc=ProductFinding If you are in r...

Re: Best 1911 gunsmith in the twin cities?

I'm extremely particular about trigger pull, I end up doing much of that work myself. I have access to 1911 sear jigs, so I have a full range of options available. Most of the time... I'm able to just drop in a replacement fitted FCG from egw and it's spot on. I've had extremely good luck with them....

Re: EAA Witness Elite Match 45

I don't doubt you cracked a slide.

I don't believe the match, or custom frame guns ever shipped with the round topped slides. They have always been side slab guns.

Re: EAA Witness Elite Match 45

The cracked slides are in fact associated with the OLDER tanfoglio models, mostly the compact models. I misspoke, been a while since I dealt with these, and I went back over to the CZ clone forum and got more info. Both the older generations and the newer round slides seem to be subject to it, most...

Re: EAA Witness Elite Match 45

The cracked slides are in fact associated with the OLDER tanfoglio models, mostly the compact models. I currently own several tanfolgios. A stock II in 9mm, A Stock I in 9mm, A Limited in 40, A match in 40 with 45, and 22 conversion slides. I probably have more rounds on my limited 40, and stock 1, ...

Re: Brass deformation ?

Looks like you were right about the large chamber, Sam. I cut 2 cases open, and they both looked like this. (There is only one piece of brass in the image, I just edited it so the opposite sides are easier to compare.) If you bought a used rifle with the intent of reloading for it, and discovered t...
