This may not be the answer you are looking for, but when I tune an ar-15 I tune it with the gas system. Most of my guns have an adjustable gas block, but I'm tuning mostly for recoil impulse and for quicker follow up shots.

I'm extremely particular about trigger pull, I end up doing much of that work myself. I have access to 1911 sear jigs, so I have a full range of options available. Most of the time... I'm able to just drop in a replacement fitted FCG from egw and it's spot on. I've had extremely good luck with them....
