IF you want to lower the hammer you have to do so by hand (pull trigger while holding the hammer and lower it) and then you would have to pull the hammer back if you wanted to fi...

Re: "Desperado" on the loose in Mpls. 5 armed robberies this AM

What's the deal with SA's getting held up? The nearest one to my home used to be the one on Lowry and Upton N, and it got robbed so many times they finally closed it. Does Holiday get this ****? I think this guy has a screw loose...maybe he was a security guard AT an SA and he feels at home there.....

Re: "Desperado" on the loose in Mpls. 5 armed robberies this AM

My money would be on security guard first, police second.
Not sure what it is but his pics just aren't screaming military to me.
Probably not a gangsta either. Just another scumbag hoping to make a quick buck.

Re: California Transfer Advice

If it leaves the state and possession of the original owner - whether a loan, gift or sale it is considered a transfer.

Follow BBeckwith's advise.

Re: grease vs. oil

Grease on all heavy bearing surfaces(bolts, slides, etc..) - It stays where you put it and provides better wear resistance and smoother operation than oil. Oil on smaller moving parts & springs(trigger assy, mag catch, etc.) - it penetrates into hard to reach areas and does not create as much fl...

Re: What'd you take deer hunting this year?

I really wish I could get some nice long range shots on my grounds. Oh, well, I'm just excited to get one this year - and my first buck! Opener night, about 30 min before sundown. Just finished processing it - I might not go that route again. 150gr .308 Federal (the cheap one) - @ 50 yards - Went ri...

Re: High end ammo box...

They'll likely make their money selling them to Hollywood as movie props... Every spy has gotta have one... Either that, or they're planning to introduce a bill making these a storage requirement. I suppose, one might be worth while as a storage/display if you collect rare cartridges or something. B...

Re: Who's up for a challenge?

Not bad! It's really a pretty small target when you get down to it. Getting them all in the 4-ring is probably better than half the rifle owners out there.

Re: Appleseed Marksmanship Clinics - 2013

Went to the Appleseed in Pine Island this weekend. Had a great time, and learned at lot. I'm still a cook, but I've got some skills to build on. Keep dry-firing! By the way - Last 2013 shoot in MN is this weekend, at Hinckley. Probably won't get many locals, 'cause some goof mistakenly scheduled it...
