Re: Special Bullet Die needed for Honady Lever Revolution

If you're loading Hornady Monoflex or FTX you need to trim the cases shorter at 2.040", according to Hornady's 9th. These bullets are longer than round nose or flat tips, necessitating the shorter trim length. Same goes for my .444 Marlin, I need to trim the case shorter for those Hornady bulle...

Re: AR cycling issues...

If that is happening just from loading a round into the chamber, it's normal. ARs have a floating firing pin. Hence why hard primers are used in 5.56mm ammo.

Re: First reloads at the range

Rossi Rio Grande in 45-70. Reloads were 400 gr JSP, Winchester new brass, Remington 9 1/2 large primers, 44.6 grains IMR 3031 powder. Used the range at Bills Robbinsdale. Basically wanted to see how they shot and wether or not someting would blow up. Only problem was 3 light strikes. At 25 yards, h...

Re: Newtown agrees with NRA and puts armed guards in schools

How could they do that? Something that actually makes sense?

I congratulate them for waking up and making a sound decision.

Re: Had some fun with the 300 blk today

I thought the subsonics were pretty cool out of my 10.5" upper. Kinda fun shooting my pistol poppers with a rifle. Functioned 100% as well.

Re: 5.45x39 vs 5.56x45?

Corrosive ammo isn't bad, only takes me about 20 minutes to clean my AK74 shooting the cheap surplus 7N6 from Fleet Farm. And I wouldn't worry about the gas tube on a AR shooting corrosive, they're stainless steel.

Re: 2 Jams at the Range Today

Too little lube could be a problem as well. I'd double check everything and look closely at it all. I will be shooting my 300 BLK for the first time today, hoping it all goes well.
