Re: Resting a rifle on the hood.

I may or may not have once upon a time zinged two rounds through the roof rack of a 1984 Volvo station wagon while shooting a coyote.

Re: Anybody here replaced a dust cover on an AR-15 ?

Well I would sure hope one could handle a 100 meters with and AR ;) You state "an AR" as if one only needs one. I have found that they tend to breed. After some of the Easter specials I got in my email, I find my self a grip screw and washer away from another. I just keep telling my wife ...

Re: Time for a new .22 for my wife

I'd stick with a Ruger MKIII, 22/45 or Browning Buckmark for a .22 pistol. They have the proven track record as the most reliable and accurate .22 pistols on the market.

Do you have the carbine model or the rifle buffer tube one?

The two I have are the rifle length.

Re: UTG Pro SS hand guard problem

If you can see your barrel "flexing", you have bigger problems than your handguard. Actually an M4 contour barrel flexes quite easily. Heck even the MK12 barrel flexes with minimal pressure. Don't believe me?.......Take your rifle out and support your barrel on a rest and keep the rest of...

Re: AR-triggers

I don't think that I've ever heard anyone that bought a Geissele say to themselves afterwards, gosh I wish I wouldn't have done that. Both of mine have Geissele and I cant think of a single reason to mess around with anything else. I have. I've got hi speed national match and hi speed DMR triggers ...

Re: UTG Pro SS hand guard problem

I realize that but the Pro stuff is supposed to be good.I've heard several people who's opinion I respect say that they are very good. That's why I bought it. Uh...no. UTG is pretty well-known for being at the low end of the scale for AR15 parts. I've actually heard good things about them too, but I...

Re: AR-triggers

Personal preference, and I'm not a big fan of 2-stage triggers. Why would you want a 1st stage at 2 lbs then a break at 2 lbs, when you can have a trigger that just breaks at 2 lbs? Mine actually comes in at a little less than that. The only situation I can think of where I would want or recommend a...

Re: AR-triggers

Best trigger for what you want to do is the Jard adjustable single stage.http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/triggers-parts/triggers/ar-15-ar-custom-trigger-kit-prod1466.aspx

For 3 gun and tactical applications my preference is JP.

Re: .223/5.56 ammo advice

I'm going to make an investment in. 223/5.56 ammo and was wondering which of the "value" brands I should look at and which I should avoid. I'm seeing $.24/Rd as the lowest cost. Should I consider spending a little more to get a better round without getting out of hand on pricing. This wou...
