Re: Gorsuch is in.

35% doesn't bothere me. The same sources predicted a landslide for Clinton, which gives you a feel for how the polling is skewed. The methodology for true , unbiased polling no longer exists -if it truly ever did exist. Exactly. The same polls that predicted HRC's win are now saying he's got a poor...

Re: Federal Cartridge Lays Off 100 Workers in Anoka

There's a good supply of .22LR right now. Nearly every retailer - except Walmart - has a wide selection of ammo in end caps, separate tables or on the main shelves with the rest of their ammo. I've even seen it on sale. What I DON'T see are PRICES at or below pre-Newtown. That could be a result of t...

Re: Youtube demonetizing gun-related content providers?

I like Full30 and try to watch content there as regularly as I can. Enjoy your videos, Dave! One of the cool things about Full30 is the video quality. One of the downsides is that it's a bit difficult to find the content you're interested in. If one of my subscribed channels posts a video but I don'...

Re: New to the AR, newish to rifles in general, where to shoot?

With only one post so far, the OP isn't giving us much to work with. Being south of the metro, I can think of quite a few spots that allow non-members or have extremely reasonable annual memberships (and no restrictions/waiting periods/probation periods, etc.). The options expand significantly for t...

Re: Suggestions for new female shooter

I agree - don't try to teach her yourself. She'll learn better from an instructor (out in the sticks, the saying goes that an "expert" is someone from out of town). I think female instructors would be the best. They can relate to any imaginary or real physical limitations and can will have...

Re: Vortex/Hornady Bullet Cam

I am 99.999% sure that this is an April 1st post (that's "five nines" for the computer geeks).

Remember, Vortex commercials show their employees wearing deer scent in the office and answering the tech support phone while stomping through the woods.

Youtube demonetizing gun-related content providers?

I'm getting the inkling that Youtube/Google is clamping down on gun-related content providers by demonetizing them. This would apply to some like IV8888, 22Plinkster and NFA Review, because they use ad revenue. Others, like Forgotten Weapons use Patrean for funding, and bypass Youtube's stupid monet...

Re: Magazine disconnects

I had seriously been considering the Ruger SR9c, but passed due to the disconnect. However there are a few YouTube videos that show how to remove them I believe. I would be very careful on which YouTube and who's YouTube video you watch and believe. There are an awful lot of self proclaimed experts...

Re: Constitutional Carry and Self Defense Law Reform to be heard

Regarding said provocateur, this is a new game, and I mean that in the most juvenile way possible, that so many people feel justified in mocking authority, public discourse and productive discussion of all kinds. In spite of the trouble maker, it seems to have went well. Thanks to everyone who testi...

Re: Airforce Condor SS legal in MN?

I like the NFA Review guy, but maybe that's because he's a firefighter IRL and I've spent a lot of time with guys just like him. I also like Ted's Holdover - that guy can really shoot. It's difficult for me - yet tempting - to justify a decent air rifle when a firearm (even rimfire) has more power a...
