Re: Gun safe couch

I agree SparkyJeff that's not a bad idea at all. But I was actually talking about the BedBunkers made by the same company that builds this couch. Access is from the top which means you'll have to remove the mattress every time you want to get into it.

Re: Gun safe couch

Only 7000.00 for a 1000.00 safe with a couch built around it :D Those bullet resistant cushions can't be cheap, and they're bound to be helpful if anybody ever breaks in and starts a pillow fight. You be they are not... it's an extra $500 per cushion on top of the $7000 for the couch. Problem with ...

On the other hand it would hold up better to the grandkids abuse

Re: Gun safe couch

I'm confused as to how that would be comfortable. Just think back to how bad the old sleeper sofas were to sit on, this has to be 10x worse.

Sheesh...that's as much as I just paid for 45 ACP.

Ouch 39.5 cents per round for 9mm... pass.

Re: New Osseo gun range

Guess I didn't really think about the fact that if they are stacked the majority of the area no one walks around on. It's Friday, brain already shutdown for the weekend.

Re: New Osseo gun range

How do you have a 2nd floor in a gun range? Wouldn't the cost of a floor people can't shoot through make that prohibitively expensive?

Re: New Osseo gun range

My guess is any rumors on "cost" related issues would be that they are getting going late, guessing due to land permits and transfer from the sound of it, and it would cost too much to start construction in the middle of winter. I'm pretty sure doing concrete work in the winter is really t...

Re: TCM 22 Rock Island Armory

Interesting... but is there any place local to get the ammo or will you have to order it online?

Re: How to begin? I am a total newbie

Good post ninjedi. I was wondering why the heck everyone was ranting on about getting a carry permit when he never even said he wants to carry. He wants a handgun and a hunting rifle. Based on what he said I'm going to guess most likely he plans to take both hunting and that's it. But as others have...

Re: Conceal and Carry Permit Simple Questions

You take the certificate from the class and go file it at the Sheriff's office. The cost of the permit is in addition to the cost of the training. The time it takes is entirely dependent on the county issuing, so if you live in a county with long times I feel bad for you. You cannot file your paper...

Re: 1911 made in the USA vs everywhere else?

Not trying to sound all over the place but asking someone to pick you a 1911 is like asking your wife to pick out your girlfriend . Your going to get a lot of advice and not much of it what you want to hear and non you will be happy with after the fact. Don't knock it until you try it. One of the b...

Re: Springfield XD-S recall

Gotta say out of the box my trigger on my 9mm was not at all good. However after putting 75 rounds through it last night it seems to have smoothed and lightened up a little. Also discovered that Wolf Military Classic while cheap has terrible accuracy in this gun. All my shots seemed to go low compar...

Re: Big Man Gun Belts

I just got one from Bullhide Belts and am very happy with it. Since I like it going to order a brown one too pretty soon. I did order their "dress belt" though. It's 3/16" instead of 1/4" so a massive 1/16" smaller whatever difference that makes. My logic was I'm only carryi...
