Re: Snake Shot

Has anyone ever used the ammunition intended to protect against snakes? I am going on a camping trip with a few buddies in Pa. in an area that is famous for Rattlers. Any ideas? It's been my experience from years ago the plastic case holding the lead shot is more deadly then the shot. The shot is s...

Re: The current climate of the shooting sports in MN

Highwarden, I think we would all like to hear more details of these bad experiences if you can get them. The rules are the rules which defined safety and the competition. Unless they are not applied equally to all competitors or an RO is not making the correct call, which in my experience has been c...

Re: The current climate of the shooting sports in MN

I've been to Burnsville winter league, also very well run...love the fresh air on a summer night at OGC. Burnsville is so popular that th...

Re: The current climate of the shooting sports in MN

I found Benny's steel shoots & the newbie night (hosted by Tim Warner & Rugersol, I believe) at OGC to be great ways to break the ice. More events like these would help foster growth, I believe. Holster work & competition can be a little intimidating at first. I'm thankful for the afore...

Re: The current climate of the shooting sports in MN

That certainly is an issue and encountered it myself. Two calendars that are pretty much update for the run and gun stuff can be found here http://www.mngunsite.com/ and here http://www.calendar.yahoo.com/mnsection It can be a real problem if the clubs themselves aren't keeping them update. We strug...

Re: The current climate of the shooting sports in MN

I like the fact that some high schools have skeet shooting clubs and it will be state sanctioned soon. I know the gun club I belong to sponsors our high school's team. Gotta get more schools involved tho. In the traditional shotgun shooting the high school trap is the fastest growing area. At FLSC ...

Re: The current climate of the shooting sports in MN

I, we want a thoughtful discussion on this topic, if posts start to go south, I'll ask the mods to remove them. This is by no means going to be one sport is better then the other or competition vs self defense training. Its about how do we bring people back into the shooting sports and get new peopl...

The current climate of the shooting sports in MN

I know there is a lot of members here who have an interest in the shooting sports, it doesn't matter what your favorite shooting discipline is. We're all in it together to further our favorite sport or training and shooting in general. The topic was started on the mnuspsa forum http://mnuspsa.org/fo...

No reason at all, bring and run what you have.

Re: Handcuffed at doctor's office, MWG incident

Hey, space man No need for name calling!! You made this post for reason, if you don't want responses delete it. Something happened prior to MWG call which you have left out and would be unrelated to how you were treated by the police, so that would be helpful to know. It sounds like your attorney g...
