Stock and Barrel

Showed up to shoot today.

Has to wait because someone had a kaboom with a .50 BFR.

It was nice to see the staff there handle everything from EMS to the cops in a professional and efficient manner.

Made me glad I joined.

Re: Long Range Endeavor: Tikka CTR or Tikka TAC both in 6.5Cr ?

goalie, to each their own This is the method I base my chronograph-less load tuning on: http://singleactions.proboards.com/post/185463/thread If you don't know your velocity, how do you accurately calculate your exterior ballistics? I get that you can just do trial and error to get zero...

Long Range Endeavor: Tikka CTR or Tikka TAC both in 6.5Cr ?

Reloading without a chronograph is literally a guessing game.

Just my opinion.

Long Range Endeavor: Tikka CTR or Tikka TAC both in 6.5Cr ?

Caliber is icing on the cake.

You still gotta have the cake.

(Obviously within reason)

New range toy

What ammo are you using?

I'm thinking of getting one as a suppressor host and preferably would be using CCI standard velocity.

Re: Long Range Endeavor: Tikka CTR or Tikka TAC both in 6.5Cr ?

Bergie, what scale do you use for reloading? I ask because I didn't consider how important a good scale is for long range shooting until recently, and now I wish I had budgeted for a laboratory-grade scale before buying a $700 spotting scope. I know that learning to read the wind will improve my sh...

Re: Anyone compete an 80% pistol?

I did a glock frame. Had some rail alignment issues. The company was receptive and made it right, but it seemed like a lot of effort to me, and I would't do it again. I just like to make things, and was wondering about the ergonomics compared to a stock Glock frame. I have no interest in "off p...

That would be consistent with his wife's description.

About J.R.

Hypothetically, if one were to OD on narcotics, that description is what would happen.

Just an FYI.......

About J.R.

I don't have any good memories of that fiasco.

I also don't have the time to give a *#@$ about whether or not someone who's acting irrationally and threatening me hurts themselves.......

Baffle strikes

What mount? Three lug? Direct thread?

Sometimes threads are not perfectly cocentric. Sometimes a mount has some slop. Sometimes both are present, and you get the perfect storm.

"The Path Forward on Guns:" a proposal

If California hasn't shown is that, yes, registration does lead to confiscation, and that background checks ARE registration, then maybe I'd consider it.

As it stands now: no effing way
