I calculated the cost of a box of reloaded shotgun shells to a bit over $4, probably more now since the price of lead shot keeps shooting up. Walmart still has boxes of Federal for about $5. Don't forget Charter Arms Undercover (lite) or Mag Pug. They make a decent revolver these days. They're a bit easier on the wallet too than S&W.

Don't know if it counts as a snubbie but I like the look of the Ruger SP101(maybe in 327 Mag). Get some wooden grips, plenty of holsters available and you're in like Flynn. At the moment I'm very conflicted between buying one of these or a Walther PPK/s.
