Re: VPC's Concealed Carry Killers Clock

EAJuggalo wrote:There is a study out of Bowling Green and U-W Milwaukee that shows that carry permit holders actually commit violent crime at a significantly lesser rate than LEOs.

If I remember correctly they had a similar one from texas (a decade ago) with the same results.

Re: so what firearms are Minneapolis cops allowed to carry?

I have a 9mm Glock and a 40cal H&K USP, I carry the Glock mostly as my shot groups are alot tighter, tho I love them both.

Re: Light Rail Crime - Lake Street Station

Just because something might not be legal, doesn't mean the feds or judges will not do it or order it done.

Ie: fast and furious, phone tapping, cigar play in the oval office, etc ad nauseum...

Re: ValleyFair will be wanding

Apparently, ValleyFair will be doing wanding and bag checks during the Haunt and high-profile days such as Labor Day and the 4th. Don't know what sort of contraband is on their list but could make a pretty good guess. A corporate decision, I'm told. So leave it in the car, okay? Just saying. Well I...

Re: Glock Military and LE Special Pricing

Way back 10 years ago when MInnesota was may-issue any one with a permit to carry could get the discount. Some people like Joel R. Had a PTC, my Brother had a PTC under the old law and could have bought a discounted Glock. Just because getting a PTC in the mero area was incredibly hard, does not mea...

Re: Glock Military and LE Special Pricing

Someone who uses a firearm at work obviously knows what they are doing with them and use them more often. Really??? I feel so safe knowing that, that uber professional officer who knows how to handle a gun so much better than I, got a discount on his Glock. He probably needed it for his ER ...

I had a 10/22 and I did not like it, the riffle was nice, but the rotary mag hurt to load! :(

Re: Minnesota PTC density by county map

Pat Cannon wrote:It'd be interesting to correlate the permits per capita with the permit price in each county.

Re: Unfortunately another shooting...

I'm amazed at how the Sihk community in that area is reacting. They are deep in mourning of course, but they aren't showing the typical anger and rage. Even the son of the temple leader (who was murdered by the gunman) spoke about how anger only led to hatred and more evil, and how they just wanted...

Re: Light Rail Crime - Lake Street Station

TYVM :D

Why are they even surprised that light rail attracts criminals, lots of people going to and from the airport and moa, most of which will not be armed and probably will have money and/or purchases...

Re: Light Rail Crime - Lake Street Station

I can barely read the post, but I do not think they can ban carry on a bus or light rail unless (possibly) the bus/train crosses fed property or a boarder.

I will admit I am a tad weak when it comes to laws on carry on various forms of public transportation. :(
