Got a little adventurous today (painting)

I've seen a few threads about rifle painting with cheap spray paint and decided to give it a try (knowing that I could paint thinner it back to the parkerized look.) I have only touched spray paint a couple times for model rockets in science class way back 5th grade. So my odds of it coming out dece...

Re: Wtb ar15 armorer's wrench

Found one at Gunstop.

I HATE the DPMS one because it only has one tooth for the spanner wrench part of it. Which means stripping at least one of the slots every time you use it.

Wtb ar15 armorer's wrench

Like the title says. Don't really carry if it's even a dpms one. Just need it for the castle nut to put my magpul asap plate on.

Re: Where to carry when riding?

My 1911 stays where I always carry it. On my right hip. It's the most comfortable for me driving cars and riding my R6.

Re: Looking for carbine & handgun classes

As far as Sully - understandable. I just wish I could find out if he was doing any classes locally this year. It would be a great help to me to not have to go out of state. And I will keep looking at other places besides Front Sight. They're just so open with their schedule, they have tons of classe...

Re: Looking for carbine & handgun classes

Thanks for the run down. I've tried contacting The Defensive Edge several times in different ways. They haven't answered their phone or emailed me back. I've been looking for classes I might have to travel for and Vicker's and Front Sight look do-able. Hopefully classes don't fill up before I can ge...

Re: Gun storage and children question?

I only have a loksafe biometric safe for my two handguns. For my rifle I bought a Vangard 39"? Rifle case, anyway it has three locks built into it. I think it was maybe $60ish so there are some el cheapo options.

Looking for carbine & handgun classes

I've been looking around for beginner and advanced carbine and handgun classes. They seem to be few and far between. Can anyone point me in the direction for some of these? I'd like to take "gun fighting" classes. I don't currently compete, it is more for SHTF.

Slip 2000 EWL and MPro7 experiences?

I tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything. I've heard good things about EWL and saw it at Gunstop. I picked up a bottle today with MPro7 cleaner, another product I havent used. I just used both on my ar15 and the mpro cleans quickly and easily. The EWL feels way better in my AR15 than b...

Re: Specific AR parts for sale?

DPMS is in St. Cloud... Shipping is fast. I've also been to DKMags, I think the guy's name is Pat there that deals with AR's mostly. He's a DPMS armorer and is always very helpful, even helped me with a stock without an appointment and charged me something like $4 for labor. There's also J&S Cus...

Re: S&W MP 9

My Kimber Warrior will drop the slide when a mag is inserted somewhere between firmly and harshly. M&Ps are nice guns, feel better in my hand than a Glock, anways. I'll probably get one eventually. Weird. It takes way more pressure for me to even seat my Kimber Warriors mag than my m&p 9 pr...

Re: Lake Harriett Rose Gardens

Awesome choice! I had my ceremony at The Rose Garden, June 26, 2010. Beautiful place, but man was it hot. 90* in tuxes waiting an hour n a half because the wife's limo driver didn't know what he was doing.
