Sale/Trade: Lyman Turbo 1200 Tumbler w/ Media

I have a Lyman Turbo 1200 vibrating/tumbler and two containers of media (one partial Lyman red stuff and the other never used box) I’m going ultrasonic.
I’m in need of 209 primers and shot (7or8).

Am looking for .450 Bushmaster rounds

Seems like my latest whim orf buying a 450 Bushmaster was a mistake- where are the rounds for it? Got some? Know who might have some? (Am on the south side of St Paul.)

Yea, might not even be the powder it's labeled to be!

How old is too old? (powders)

I have a bunch of junk laying around and wondering if I can use some of the old powders. (I got them as part of a batch buy) All I want to do is reload some plinking rounds in 308 and 30-06 with some -again old- 30 cal bullets I have in a coffee can. Or maybe some test rounds with 45-70? A buddy of ...

Re: What did this to the neck of these .308 rounds?

Yea, I was assuming they’d be junk, but there’s only about 30 pieces (flea market lot buy) My novice reloading brain was wondering if they could ever be resized back using a sizing die, but I think I’ll just pitch em (unless one of you guys wants them?

What did this to the neck of these .308 rounds?

I came into some brass recently in a grab bag and there were two ‘sets’ of .308 empties. One set looks ‘normal’ but the other looks weird. It looks like either someone fed the rounds through the wrong gun (but they wouldn’t have fit) or sized them down at the neck. See pics. The length of the cases ...

Value of a used Investarms .50 cal BP?

I'm thinking of buying one of these Hawkens from a buddy and neither of us are sure what a fair value is. Looks like new they're anywhere between $400-500.......( not sure of condition yet as I've not seen it, so of course that'll play into it)

Re: Dull sticky brass after wet tumbling (?)

Bingo. More soap was the answer. I've been skimping on the Dawn. And I used hot water the third time thru and when I opened the tumbler it looked like a washing machine mid cycle. All in all, I'm not 100% sold on this pin/tumbling cleaning process. Between the wet/drying aspect, pins sticking inside...

Re: Dull sticky brass after wet tumbling (?)

Since you mentioned this thread in your newest thread... Did you figure out what was going on? What was your solution? I STILL am having issues! I've cleaned the pins, the tumbler has been used for around 6-7 'loads'. I punched primers last night and threw in a couple hundred cases, followed by 1 c...

Best Cold Bluing Solution?

I'm doing a build on a FAL and have assembled about 99% of the parts needed. I plan on giving all parts an overnight bath in Brownells Rust Release (knowing it'll strip just about everything. Then I'll 'brake dust clean' everything, warm it up in the oven around 150, then cold blue it all. I've done...

AR A2 Build Parts - Trade for Rem STS 12 ga rounds(?)

I was going to build a vintage style AR so started assembling parts from Brownells. I decided to go a different route, so no longer need these. See parts in pic (not pictured is the triangular forearm cap that goes with it all). Included is: forearm, grip, front sight base, flash hider, rear sight b...

Why a vertical grip form instead of an angled one?

I've noticed that a lot of long range target rifles have a grip that is completely vertical in their design. Is this an intentional design and what function does it serve over an angled grip (i.e. An AR-styled one, or 'regular' stock grip). *I ask because I'm building a light mountain rifle for WY a...

Re: GROUP TRADE - one to one

Here's a question- a guy online says he has two boxes of Winchester clay trap loads (new) and says he needs 9mm. I have extra 9s so what's the most even up trade ratio 9mm:12ga (the 9s are just menial target loads)

WTB: 12ga/209 Primers? Bueller? Bueller?

With all the devastated logistics chains, HS trap leagues sucking up rounds, etc, How is a guy supposed to practice for the trap season!? (I actually think the HS leagues SHOULD take precedent over John Does like me) But seriously- I have wads, casings, a little powder -but of course no primers. Any...
