Geissele SSA-E Issues

I installed my first Geissele trigger into the DD5V3 and immediately started having issues. Hoping someone here has a fix or I’ll just call customer service. The issue is the hammer not resetting properly after firing. The gun cycles normally, but I had many dead triggers on a loaded chamber. Inspec...

Re: The violence extended to the suburbs.

yukonjasper wrote:...The implications of this article is that the Doctor resisted the criminal and therefore was shot.

He should have heeded the advice of the MPD and been prepared to comply and give up his stuff.

It's just stuff, after all.

Re: How Guns Twist the Logic of Self-Defense Laws

But if Grosskreutz believed that Rittenhouse was a shooter on a spree — because Rittenhouse had just killed two men — then it also defies common sense to think that Rittenhouse was entitled to shoot him in self-defense just because Grosskreutz was armed. What about Grosskreutz’s right to self-defen...

Re: How Guns Twist the Logic of Self-Defense Laws

...Him being 17, crossing state line with a firearm , then killing someone with it, should have more charges on him. I've asked this question in other places and it goes unanswered. Assuming he did cross state lines with a firearm, when did that become a crime? People point it out like you can't br...

Re: Evil Black Rifle photo thread

Glass finally arrived- Primary Arms GLx 4-16x50. Heading out to the indoor range to test fire the gun itself; looking forward to getting to an outdoor range to actually dial in and test the ACSS DMR reticle. And yes, now that it's on there, I realize that is more optic than I probably needed. Overal...

Re: Evil Black Rifle photo thread

I had it out to the range yesterday. If it didn't feel, handle and point as well as it does, I'd be looking for another option. I've noticed those have been making resurgence is the last 5 years, especially on .308 builds. I've never actually shouldered one, but I was also taught to shoot nose-to-c...

Re: Body armor demonstration

I guess the rules of gun safety don’t apply to stupid people. I disagree; I questioned the efficacy of his armor until I saw him do those demonstrations. We know that Kevlar works now, but 40 years ago the idea a material as thin as a shirt would stop a bullet was more magic than science to most pe...

Re: Body armor demonstration

I'm assuming that Matt Davis is Richard Davis' son. Richard Davis created Second Chance Body Armor in the 70s. I actually bought my Second Chance vest in 1996 after watching a video of Richard shooting himself with everything from 9mm to .44 Magnum, as well as shotgun slugs. Still have it even thoug...

AR10 Hot Reload

Lifted this image from the Gun Shop and Range Stories group on Facebook. At first the shooter said it was caused on round 3 of some type of Remington 150gr factory loads. Apparently it was confirmed it was a very hot hand load. I don't hand load, so I don't know how hot you need to make that round t...

I was tempted to go over to the Eagan store, but then I realized it was probably a fool's errand.

Nomad 30. I almost bought an Omega36, but when I went home to research it I found out that it has serious barrel restrictions that would have rendered it useless on the pistol.

Re: Evil Black Rifle photo thread

Added two in the last two months. Pistol is almost complete (needs a light). The rifle's glass is backordered and the can in up with the ATF. Pistol is a Seekins lower I've had in the vault for 7 years; 8.5" PSA upper; built it as a truck gun. The big boy is a Daniel Defense DD5v3. She's gettin...

Re: Any Stock & Barrel club members?

Erud's nightmare situation aside, I am a member there. I've never had an issue with them and I prefer them to all the other indoor ranges I've been to except for the old Dakota Sport and Fitness range at the casino (which I think closed about 20 years ago). Initiation fee is steep, but ZERO range fe...

Aguila .223 Problem

Never shot Aguila ammo before, but Fleet Farm had boxes of 300 and I wanted to function test the pistol I just built, so I picked it up. On my new build and my carbine that I've been shooting for 8 years, I had at a bunch of rounds where the bullet was sent back into the case during the feed cycle c...

Re: Woman killed by Fla. officer in "horrible accident"!

Lee Coel pleaded no contest this week and given no jail time. 10 years probation and promised never to seek employment as a law enforcement officer. As a reminder, he was fired from the Miramar PD in 2013 for failure to complete agency field training program, and had an IA run-in over an incident wi...
