Could I get a head count of people planning to join us? If we have enough showing up, I'd like to give the ranch a heads up. Currently have on board: Mauser98 Grayskies FJ540 Foxx11 Possibly: HMAC? Tulibee? BTW Welcome Foxx11. I have a work commitment. 75% chance I can reschedule it. I will try to ...

Re: Ruger 10/22...

When it comes to 10/22 stuff Kidd is about the best you can get. VQ makes some very nice products too but if there is a Kidd product available that would be my choice. I would love to have a Kidd barreled action. His barrels are tack drivers. Out of the box, the 10/22 can be made into a great shoote...

Re: Any Precision Tactical Rifle Gunsmiths in Metro?

You'll love the mega build, we just got some MKM uppers for an upcoming "project" and they are top notch. I also just handled a mkm 308 matched set last night and was very very impressed. Thanks for the help guys, it was Jim Kobe, he also has a great reputation with some f class shooters. ...

Re: Any Precision Tactical Rifle Gunsmiths in Metro?

There used to be a gunsmith in Bloomington I think, I'm trying to find his info. When I talked to him he said he worked on St Paul's precision rifles for their Tac team. This ring a bell to anyone? US, I wouldn't be in a hurry to re-barrel your SPS, you might be surprised with what you get from the ...

Re: Timm Training Classes - Rifle, Pistol, & Hosted Courses

It is with great sadness to have learned that Louis Awerbuck has passed away. Details are still limited, a lot are talking about how he died, we are preferring to remember how he lived. One of our favorite memories of Louie was at a recent class he told us he never laughed. It was our challenge to m...

Una, You know you can shoot my anytime we can meet up. I have a trijicon accupoint 1-4 TR24 with green triangle, bushnell 1-6.5, and a vortex 1-6. For patrol I am running my trijicon on my patrol rifle. Its bright fast and clear like an Aimpoint with magnification. Its simple which is a pro and a co...

Re: AR-15 Ka-BOOM

Overcharged or reused brass, ie more than "once fired." This can happen with range pick up brass as it is unknown if it truly is once fired, previously reloaded etc. Very cool of him to share the video and photos.

Re: Buffer weights for Huldra and BCM?

Howdy Everyone, For our Hudlras we recommend using the standard carbine weight buffer as that will run generally anything decent. If you are running import ammo or really lower power stuff you may have to use a reduced power spring. We purposely don't over gas our guns like other companies do as thi...

Re: Ar flash hider/muzzle brake shims.

Speaking of crush washers once you "crush" it is that it or can it be "crushed" again? The reason I ask is I have one and changed the flash hider but there was no way I was going to get that extra half turn to line it up. I ended up sanding it down so my new hider would line up....

Re: AR15s Lube ammount

What do you guys think of the Militec-1 that Bill's sells? Also make sure whatever your putting militec on doesn't contain o rings. I've seen militec attack and eat some o rings in the past. Now in its defense the rifles that had the o rings weren't the highest tier maker so I don't know what mater...

Re: AR15s Lube ammount

When did slip2000 come on the market? I'm not sure, I started using it about 10 years ago. I've tried using other products that have come along but nothing seems to offer anything better than what slip 2000 provides. I'm trying out FIREclean, to early to tell. One thing that is a negative for FIREc...

Re: AR15s Lube ammount

What about using grease in the Huldra, since they are piston guns and don't have loads of carbon getting blown into the action? We still only recommend using a quality gun oil, namely slip2000 either their gun lube or EWL. Una, our quarry is a test grounds for using good gear and taking care of it....
