Re: Stop the steal

Does Minnesota require voters to show proof of residency? Heck, Minnesota doesn't even require proof of residency for its legislators. Check out John Thompson. https://www.mprnews.org/story/2021/07/13/key-facts-about-state-rep-john-thompsons-residency-issues The article talks about John Thompson's W...

Re: Wildcat or Savage Mark ii?

Just a note about my previous post about the Savage Mark II. Originally I was going to ask if the Savage Mark II had the AccuTrigger and then I decided to man-up (person-up) and not be lazy and look it up myself. Well, the Savage Mark II DOES have the AccuTrigger but I was dumb founded when I got to...

Re: Minnesota Lead Ban and High School Trap

Geez!!!
SOMEBODY show me a study where OUTDOOR TRAP SHOOTERS are getting lead poisoning.
Until then I'll assume this is just a gun grabber 'throw everything against the wall and see what sticks' bit of legislation.

Re: Minnesota Lead Ban and High School Trap

Alpha News weighs in on the topic: https://alphanews.org/shooting-league-calls-dfl-bill-an-attack-on-a-school-approved-activity-they-dont-like/ “Youth clay target shooting sports in Minnesota is not a public health issue,” said John Nelson, president for USA Clay Target League, an Eagan-based nonpro...

Minnesota Lead Ban and High School Trap

Well the legislature is thinking about a lead ban and some are complaining it will raise the cost for high school trap shooters to the point where some will not be able to afford the sport. The bill, HF 3813/SF 3792, was introduced by eight members of the state House and two members of the state Sen...

Re: Sandals or flip flops while shooting

Who would rest a .22 on their toe? Doesn't really sound safe to me either. That said, I do remember shooters at matches (.22LR at 50 feet indoors) with shooting gloves for prone, sitting and kneeling positions, put the glove on the floor for the standing position and rest the muzzle of the rifle on...

Supreme Court Bump Stock Debate

If you're interested (and have LOTS of free time) they're posting the Supreme Court debate about bump stocks on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msZhXfnr-eU Note: it's audio only and over two hours long and I got tired of it after about 20 minutes but right at the beginning is Justice Ketanj...

Re: Governor Walz and Burnsville shooter

Almost everybody here understood my first post...ex-LT spelled it out VERY clearly---better than I could have.

I thought another question that SHOULD have been asked (but was not mentioned by the Governor) was why this guy, with his criminal record, was still out amongst us?

Governor Walz and Burnsville shooter

Governor Walz wants to know how the Burnsville shooter got his guns. (Note: the link is to a WCCO TV report.) https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/gov-walz-among-those-asking-how-burnsville-shooter-illegally-obtained-firearms/vi-BB1iBRi1?ocid=msedgntp&pc=HCTS&cvid=c29d0d202c764701b37614b0...

Re: Wyoming attempts to deal with gun suicides

Suicide---and now the DFL is PUSHING for suicides which they might as well call late, late, late, late, late, late, late, late, late, late abortions.

Your future medical care in this state, if your of an age, might just be a pistol and a bullet.

Re: Wyoming attempts to deal with gun suicides

I think we [Holland&Holland and Bstrawse about transferring guns] are saying the same thing. Seems to me like you really do both understand the new process the same way. With the new law in place I don't think I will ever do an old time private sale ever again, it'll always be through an FFL, w...

Re: Obviously More Gun Laws Are Needed

The word 'frustration' doesn't even BEGIN to cover what normal everyday people feel when they see stats like this. I don't know how to explain how this has happened in our society. Years and years ago science fiction writer Robert Heinlein wrote some short stories where he put forth the idea of the ...

Re: NRA leaders face trial for corruption, mismanagement

Well, want to bankrupt a charity you don't agree with? Donate about $20 to them. Over the next year I'm sure they'll send you way more than that...address labels, drink coasters, calendars, bookmarks (socks for heaven sakes!) etc., etc. Heck, some even send you real currency---nickels, dimes, dollar...
