Impressed with Bloomington PD.

I applied/submitted my application for a PTP on Friday, Feb. 17th. I was told it would take 14days to arrive. Today I received my PTP in the mail! Re: New in Bloomington

The wait is a killer. It's been 4 business days since I submitted my PTP. I read somewhere that if the permit is going to be denied Bloomington calls you to tell you why. Anyone know of this? I'm normally not this impatient, but I hate asking the government for permission.
Ok I'm done whining!

Re: MN LAW HELP Own/Carry Firearm

I would suggest applying for a permit to purchase and see what happens. The worst they can do is say no. And its free.

Re: question about ptp

Thanks for the info guys! That is exactly what I was looking for. And I will be taking the advice offered! I plan on spending every sunday afternoon at the range until I feel confident enough to carry full time. Then I will take the class. So maybe next year sometime. Thanks again!

New in Bloomington

Hello, First of all I would like to thank everyone on this site. I have been learning a ton since discovering this resource. I am new to firearms. Grew up in a house where guns weren't allowed. Very religious parents and all. Not that there is anything wrong with that  It has taken me 10 ye...

Re: question about ptp

I am new to handguns. Could someone please, plainly, explain whether or not there is a waiting period after I receive my permit to purchase? I submitted the paperwork at the Bloomington PD. When it arrives will the dealer hold my weapon after I pay for it. Again, this will be my first handgun purcha...
