Due to the high operating pressures, factory ammo for the 327 Federal uses small rifle primers to prevent primer flowback.

Not sure if that helps, I don't reload my own ammo yet I'm just interested in the 327 federal.

That's VERY interesting, and led me to Google the 327 mag, and holy cow are the pressures high!! The only other pistol case that uses small rifle primers to keep them from blowing out is the 9x23 Winchester, which runs at 52,000 PSI, and I would have never guessed that the 327 Mag ran at 45,000 PSI!!! Given Rodentman's use of some oil on his primer seater with pistol primers, you can see why those pistol primers came out looking like they did, and Oldman was right on the money by flapping his arms around and saying WARNING WARNING, DANGER DANGER!! Obviously, a switch has to be made to small rifle primers, and degrease that primer dohickey in some acetone or something!!

I thought those powder loads looked a little high for a 32 caliber case, but even my Hornady #8 manual doesn't have 327 load data, so I had nothing to go on.

Yeah I trace the loose primers to the oil issue, now rectumfied. I have moved to CCI 400 SRP for the .327 mag. Have tried a new batch and the primers held the shape much better. I don't have any photos. (Been very busy at work and I'm trying to score a used DE .50 10" bbl from a guy in Michigan).

I hope to. The holster has an opening so the bbl should go thru it ok. I'm overweight already so what's another 5 or 6 pounds?

Make sure to wear a belt AND suspenders!! Them DE50's pull your pants down at least as hard as the Rodentwoman probably does, and we don't need to see that!! Only way I can carry mine is with an shoulder hoster...

I tried to put The Rodentwoman in a shoulder holster and the strap broke. Not to mention her head rammed up into my armpit was uncomfortable.
