How much rifle ammo (NOT including 22LR) do you shoot each Y

Don't include 22LR or other rimfire. Only ammo that you make or buy - if you melt barrels for the .mil, that don't count here.

I go through a LOT of pistol ammo, but I estimated about 120 rounds of rifle for my hunting guns.

I'm right around 4k/yr in 5.56. Would shoot more if I could afford it.

None. Can't afford to feed a rifle with centerfire ammo. :(

What's wrong with 22 LR?

It's a caliber too!

Right now the only rifles I own are two Mosins and a 22LR. I'll probably go through 60-80 rounds a range trip, a few trips a month.

I shoot maybe 500 5.56, and maybe 200-300 .243, unless it's a prairie dog year during pheasant hunting. Then I'll probably burn up 800 or so rounds of .243, or maybe an extra 500 of 5.56 if I bring an AR instead of the bolt gun.

This is something I shoot in spurts. I haven't pulled a trigger since December, but come summer I usually end up not getting the work in I should on the rifle. I think I average 500 rounds a year.

Some years, if my work schedule and the 3 gun schedule all align, I can shoot a couple thousand rounds of .223 in a year. If I go on a prairie dog shoot that's good for 1000 rounds mixed between 4-5 rifles.

Realistically, I get in maybe 100-150 rounds of hunting ammo for practice and hunting. Half .30-06, the rest .375 H&H and some bigger.

1-2 3 gun matches for 250 or so rounds ( with some practice and gun sighting in).

Maybe 100 rounds of .223/308 practice rounds.

Oh and maybe 20 rounds of 50 BMG for the 4th of July.

Last year I burned about 3500 rounds rifle ammo, and about 5000 rounds pistol.

Hoping to do more shooting this year :)
