Well it is still a work in progress, but this is a walk in closet that has been repurposed in my place. Storage on one wal and a L shaped bench on the other two walls. Along with the Dillion Square Deal I'll be adding a single stage or touret press to the bench as well.

I'm still a total noob, but this is my setup, love having the scale at eye level on that shelf. (yes it's always that clean)

I’ve been working on my “man cave” for a bit now and finally got a cabinet in to make it look a little cleaner. This room isn’t just for firearms; I use it for all my little electrical projects, gadget building, and where I go to get away from the madness of the house.
It also works out great for secure storage of my guns.

Don’t worry about the firearms not in a safe…. This room is a safe room, with all walls made of 9” thick poured concrete, and precast concrete slabs on top. It was originally an underground storage room, with parking on top, but has since migrated into my own very secure, “home away from home”. I’m a security system freak since I work as an installer, and it’s controlled by its own cellular monitored system, with no windows, and one door which is controlled by an access control system keypad with battery backup. It doesn’t really need to be this secure, but like I said… I’m kind of a security system freak so I went overboard just for fun. Plus, when the zombies come… I’m covered.

I have a safe too but haven’t decided if I want to keep the guns out for display, or back in the safe… I may just use the safe for my expensive long guns and handguns… I’m not sure yet. Either way, I have a dehumidifier in the room anyways.

I had all of my reloading supplies on the back of the bench at the wall, but I hate clutter! I found a nice big steel electrical panel box, did some light welding to patch some holes, ground off some tabs, then painted it white to match all the melamine cabinets in the rest of the room. I also added adjustable shelving inside the cabinet. Now my bench is much cleaner… me likey!

I’m still new to the reloading scene but find it’s a very fun relaxing hobby, and a great excuse to go to my little man cave. I made some quick release mounts for the powder drop and press, since as I said earlier, this isn’t just my gun room and sometimes I need the space on the bench for other projects. I’d like to get a progressive setup someday, but for now this is all I really need.

EDIT: Gotta progressive setup now :)

I'm not going to touch that one. :|

I'm new to reloading, so far I've cranked out 1000 rounds of 9mm on the LNL, and I thoroughly enjoy it! Wish that I would have started about 40 years ago.

Over the winter I carved out a room in the basement, 9' x 16'. The bench is a work in progress. I'm planning to add drawers and a wall cabinet above it. I came up with my own mount for the presses. I wanted to be able to adjust the height. I have another mount that I will probably put a vise on. Here are a few pics:

Here is my current set up. Fairly small. But it works well for me. Currently only set up for 223. Hoping to set up for 45ACP soon.

That's pretty cool with those mounts. I have a similar configuration on my fabrication table using 2" square tube.

One thing that I've noticed on my bench with the LNL-AP is that my top isn't nearly stiff enough for my liking. It was never meant to be a reloading bench when I built it, but now that it's become that I need to beef it up a bit. Those legs you have, and how the presses attach to them would completely solve my problem.

Thanks. The mounts have been working real well. I started loading .308 last summer on the Rockchucker, no flex with that press either. I used 3/8" plate steel which might have been a little overkill but it was what I had on hand.

My bench is only 3/8" plywood with a 2x4 under to add some load dispersal, and the top isn't rigid enough to handle the torque applied. It doesn't flop around by any means, but it's not "solid" either. I just need to add some ribs underneath and it should be GTG.

I need to dig it out and add some more shelves too. I don't have room for all my powders.

FWIW, that sounds similar to what I started with ... and here's what I have now ... http://www.mnguntalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=15890&p=173321&hilit=gorilla#p173321

It might seem like a bit more money ... but vs. buying all the lumber, to build basically the same thing, it's really not bad, at all! ... and the result is very solid! ... bonus is, it's strong enough to support cases of bullets ... for ballast! ;)

... if yer up for it, the legs even have flanges to bolt it to the floor!

They got various heights, widths, and lengths of uprights and beams ... so ya make one of several different sizes ... depending on yer space! Warner did 8ft uprights, but with his main working surface at 'bout 4ft high ... so he's got shelves above that ... that's not a bad way to go! I've got decent windows that I didn't wanna cover up at all ... so I went with the 3ft uprights, and put 4x6's on the top 'n bottom. Too bad they don't make a 3ft 9in upright ... that'd probly be perfect! Anyhow, I'd recommend ya run at least 2x4's ... even 4x4's ... across the beams ... with overhang in the front ... and 3/4in plywood on top ... and mount the presses through the plywood, and the lumber across the beams ... also, screw the lumber directly into the beams (ya'll need cobalt bits).

Again, it may seem like a bit much ... but it only seems that way! ;)

I've got a built-in shelf between two walls anchored to studs, but the top is the weak link. I don't have room, or desire, to move my reloading stuff. I'm also not sure how much longer we'll be living here, and will have a dedicated room for reloading/guns in the new house - far away from the madness of my machining equipment. ;)

Flashback to earlier in this thread:

Image

Except now there's even more crap on the right and I need to take control of that and move it somewhere else. Then build out that vacant vertical space to hold more stuff. There's also two presses bolted to the bench now. I'll update pics when I get this next phase completed. SS would probably punch me in the throat right through his computer screen if he saw the chaos I load in. Now where'd that caliper go? I just set it down... It really is almost that bad, and I need to fix that.
