Just bought 900 CCI #41 small rifle primers at Hoffy's tonight. He had regular CCI small rifle primers, Federal small rifle and Remington 6 1/2s. No small pistol. Lots of large rifle.

I also stopped at Wolf's Den. Nothing to report for primers. I did almost run out to my truck to grab a dust rag and some lemon Pledge to help dust the place...Yeesh! Apparently the Mn Dept. of Health has no interest in gun shops.

Wolf's den had a decent deal on cleaned once-fired .223 brass @ .08/rd, but they just had a couple buckets and nothing counted out.

Scheels had plenty of both last week and they have a 1000 primers per-person/ per-day limit.

We used some Tula Small Pistol primers today for training purposes and had 2 fail to fire 38Special cartridges. Pulled bullets = powder charge not fired.

I tried the Tula primers in both small and large pistol. I had numerous failures to fire with the the small pistol primers. The large pistol primers worked fine for me.

That's no good I just recently purchased about 1,000 tula small pistol primers. Well I guess I will just have to try them out and see what kind of results I get. :x

Save 'em for the range and conserve your other primers for the more mission critical ammo.

Spousal Abuse

Postby OldmanFCSA on Tue Jan 08, 2013 7:31 am

I woke up this morning with extremely sore ribs and left arm.
The wife was still mad at me!!!
The dog growled at me ..... and I got the Evil eye from both of them.

It seems overnight (I don't remember) that the wife woke up and got mad at me.
The dog, Murphy< was barking, growling, howling, and very excited.

The security alarm in the house was going off LOUDLY.
The security company was on the intercom asking if we were safe.

AND

I

WAS

YELLING

AT

THE

TOP

OF

MY

LUNGS, :

"SAVE THE PRIMERS !!!"

Words to live by!

I run a lot of Tula/Wolf large rifle, and they work fine. I bought a brick of small pistol last summer to try out, and won't buy them again unless they are the only game in town. They all fire OK, but seem to vary in size? Harder to run through my Dillon-have had a few jam ups, and harder to press into the brass.
No other brand of SPP have given my these problems.
