Fleet Farm ammo policies

Postby justinvan on Sun Feb 17, 2013 5:38 pm

Was just at FF in Carver and saw they have a new ammo policy regaurding hoarding. Limit 10 boxes per person per day. Only one box of ammo per type if that box is over 100 rounds. Sorry if this is old news. The guys said they have heard a lot of rumbling from customers... I am not sure what to think. Sucks it has to be that way at all, but at least there is chance there will be a couple boxes available when I go there. They also had a few varieties that were not there on Friday afternoon.

About time! I have seen people grabbing full cartons as the employees try and stock the shelves. People who don't horde are having a tough time finding ammo to shoot at our range.

Yep! A friend called me earlier this afternoon and told me that Fleet Farm (Brooklyn Park) put out 80 bricks of .22 LR Blazers and they were all gone within 90 minutes….. even with a one box limit per customer!

Even with the limits the ammo that is put on the shelf at 8a.m. will be lucky to see noon...but at least they are making an effort. And I have not noticed price increases to speak of at FF.

Maybe I'll actually be able to find some now. Last time I was at the Brooklyn Park FF the only handgun calibers left were .32 auto and .45 Colt.

Wolf WPA Polyformance 7.62 Hollow Points are $6.89/box now. They were $5.69 a few days ago. Pretty steep increase percentage wise.

Not ammo but almost all of the AK47 mags have jumped in price as well.

They're also selling their Saiga AK's for $900 now. Wow. They were $659 two week ago.

I should say there hasnt been an across the board increase...some ammo has gone up or come off sale but other items have not changed. The main items I watch and buy have held steady price wise.

The Century converted Saigas? I've seen the $900 ones but they have quad rails and adjustable stocks.

Just saw the 1080 rd can of Russian 5.45 is now $219!! Up from $179.00. Is there some new tax on imported ammo that just went into affect or something?? That stuff isn't exactly flying off the shelf anymore. Why crank the price up now?

The one you're describing is not a Saiga.

Ah...

Wonder how much the price will increase on the AR's when and if they ever get more in stock.

Guess the FF honeymoon is coming to an end.

Yes. And it really sucks when they get in CCI 22 and you can only buy a single 100rd. Also at Brooklyn Park they stopped putting out shotgun by the case. I used to walk in and buy a case of target ammo and was in and out quick.
