Where ti find large pistol primers??

Postby sgruenhagen44 on Sun Feb 10, 2013 9:52 am

Yup this a dumb post for the times and all but I'm doing it anyway... Anyone know where you can find a couple thousand large pistol primers right now? I see I can't even back order on midway. Maybe a member on here could sell me some? :) Any input here is appreciated.

Call around. Large primers both pistol and rifle are much easier to find than smalls. Last time I hit Scheels they had plenty.

Pretty well every time I have looked around I have seen LPP's on the shelf.

Ever make your way up to Hugo?? The Wolf's den is a great spot for reloading supplies. I was there last week and they had powder, primers, bullets.. Not sure if its still there or not.. And if your looking to make a trip to Duluth, swing into Shooter's supply in Superior. Last weekend I stopped in there and they had everything you wanted, they where a touch high in price, but hey , it was there...

Gary was out a couple of days ago at the Den, but it wouldn't hurt to give him a call from time to time.

Ahlman's had several thousand WLP and WLR primers in stock when I was there on Saturday. As I sat and BS'd with Larry for an hour after the place closed, there will be some there when they open on Monday...

You know, every time I've been to Gunstop, I haven't seen any primers or powder. I'm not sure he keeps it in back or if hes just out of it.

John keeps the powder and primers in back, you have to ask for them.

well I just called ammo craft. I think Ron is who I talked to. Great guy. I'm not able to get there with my work schedule with his hours until next week but he was nice enough to put 2,000 match large magnum primers on hold for me until next week. I prefer winchesters but I will take what I can get right now. Glad I can find a new reloading shop to go to by my new house.

I've had Success every time at Ammo Craft and they are very friendly. I was also at Gunstop Sat. and they had a sign up "No Primers ". John even had a sign on his shirt....lol.
