This is one of the better deals you'll find on Gunbroker, 525 rounds of Federal 22lr for $65. The guy is in Maple Lake so you might not even have to pay shipping.

Dang, I just let another member have a box for $30 so he could have fun at the range. Does that mean I'm not a Gouger or just dumb? I slept well knowing another board member had .22 lr ammo at the same price I paid for it. After seeing that I might have to put a few thousand up on GB and more than double my money

Nah, it just means you're not an a-hole. ;)

I gave a few thousand rounds to a local Boy Scout troop a little while ago. I may not have as much pocket cash as if I sold it for 50 bucks/500, but I sleep better......
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

DNR must have plenty of it. Told me at volunteer firearms safety training a while back that they have plenty for the classes when we have our field days.

I think the DNR has a contract with Federal to supply so much .22lr to them each year, plus the DNR probably bought a whole truck load at one time where we who teach the boy scouts have to buy this ammo our selves and fight the gougers just like every one else does.

I have to have 5 to 6 thousand rounds by Mid may for just 80 scouts. I don't have but 4 thousand right now. We are planning on using pellet rifles to teach sight adjustment and alignment then the .22 rifles to shoot for score.

I heard from a CO that there is a small garage in ST. Paul some where that is stacked with pallets full of American Eagle ammo.
