I was sitting at the computer when the email came in. I think I logged into Midway's site in under three minutes. I guess I need a faster internet connection or something. Maybe my new notification request puts me closer to the head of the line next time. And maybe the weather will get decent soon too, as long as I'm dreaming.

A couple of weeks ago I had a guy in one of my classes who works at Federal. He said that they're producing 4 million rounds of .22LR per day. He said he watches it pour out of the machines like rain. He also said that the figure he's hearing at work is that 12 million rounds of .22LR are produced nationwide every day. With those figures, one would think that once the panic buying slows up, we'll start seeing boxes on the shelves again.....

I placed an order and then posted, checked after I posted and they were still there but really went fast.

12 million sounds like a lot bit is really only about 500 boxes per state per day so it might take awhile to catch up.

I think setting the notification email to your work email address or basically anything not on one of the free emails services should speed up your reception of it. Otherwise you're relying on servers that are getting pounded with all of the people getting the same notification.

Yeah, I'm doing text messaging from now on. I've had good luck with those always coming in faster than email.

Wow, 4 million rounds a day at 7¢ a round is $280,000 a day. Just like printing money.
