RCBS Rebate - No BS

Postby bpacman on Sat Apr 06, 2013 4:02 pm

I have usually shied away from most rebate offers. Too many hoops to jump through and a two to three month wait for the money, but hey who hasn't been waiting for bullets this year.

Since I spent well over the $300 mark on new RCBS stuff this year, I decided to do their $50 or 500 bullet rebate. I noticed they had a little clause of "We reserve the right to remit $50 in lieu of the bullets if bullet supplies are not available," so I held little hope of the .45 cal bullets I selected (with a retail value of $379.50) would actually show up.

Well 3 weeks later there was a package of 500 .45 cal185gr Gold Dot HPs in the mail today. Faith officially restored!!

I have been waiting to send mine in b/c of all the panic. I think I will send my rebate form in this week now that you have shared your positive return. Thanks!

500 45 caliber 185 grain hollowpoints with a "retail" value of $379.95?????? 76 cents for a 45 bullet??? Hell, that's an exhorbitant price for a gouger, much less a reloading company. Picked up 300 Montana Gold 45 200 grain FMJFP bullets at Gunstop last weekend for $66. I'd be interested to see the ad where somebody is selling just 45 bullets for 76 cents apiece....

Good point. But I'd rather have some bullets than $50 even with the shipping you will still get a deal and most folks buy RCBS equipment to reload and bullets are required lol

RCBS cashed my check on 5-10 and I still don't have any .45 ACP bullets. Anyone else been waiting a long time?
