No visible sealant on either the m193 or ss109 here, but the primers ARE crimped. So reasonable to assume per Hoot that they are likely commercial reman's and GTG?

A few years ago , Sportsmans guide was selling 1000 round boxes of loose 7.62 x 51 for cheap. I bought a couple boxes at the time and found out later from a friend who is a marine armour that they were de linked machine gun rounds that were found to be breaking the cases just above the rim when fired .

It was just one year head stamp that was the issue and only a few of those that were an issue, but due to those few failiers the government took them all out of service and sold them to the guide as surpluse ammo.

I shot a few through my CETME with the year head stamp and did find one out of 300 that cracked at the base.

These de linked rounds had a distinct color diferance where the belt link was at.
