Ammo Run to Rogers, suggested stores please.

Postby gunsmith on Sat Jul 20, 2013 3:22 am

Looks like I'm taking an Ammo Run tomorrow. I usually go to Woodbury off 94.

Google tells me there is a Gander mountain / cabelas just off 101 and 94 and a super walmart near 94 not far from there.

I would also hit Fleet Farm in Brooklyn park.

I only need a couple hundred rounds of 9mm fmj but I expect empty shelves so I want to make a list.

I like patronizing FF / like the 'commodity'-like prices at Walmart.

Any suggestions? is there another FF closer to rogers? I'm coming from the city.

Thanks.

The Gander superstore in Rogers was out of 9mm (but a helpful employee did teach me you can't dry fire ANY gun) when I was there on Wed. Cabelas next door had a ton of Herters brass but it was for the low price of $14+/50.

$14 / 50 is my happy price. From the google map it looks like you could see the Gander store from Cabelas. Thanks.

They are almost right next to each other on the same frontage road. Separated by a quarter mile or so. By the way, it is Rogers with no 'd'.

There are Wal-Marts in Maple Grove, Monticello, Elk River, and BP. The FF in BP is the closest one.

Hudson WalMart this afternoon, couple of 100 count Winchester white boxes of 9mm for $25. But that's a long way from Rogers.

I actually haven't bought any ammo since the recent panic.... (down to my last 100 rnds of range Ammo) If I'm not mistaken That's 'Pre-Panic' price...$12.99 for 50..I think back then you could get Wolf steel cased for $9.99 on sale (limit 2 ? ) at FF.

Thanks for the tip.
