it's a gen 3. you can all make all the fun you want, if you need me, i'll be putting 15 in the X ring all afternoon ;)

i am a little concerned about the less than stellar chamber ont eh glocks for brass life, but i got into the gun at the right proces so an aftermarket barrel isn't out of the question.

i'll be doing some careful working up of loads and record keeping to see where i'm at and how it performs. i'm curious to see how many loadings decent breass will give out of the glock vs a 1911 platform.

It is going to be pretty hard to shoot 10mm out of a Glock 21 seeing as it is 45ACP! The comped version of the 10mm is the 20C.

Heres a pic om mine I've had it 11or 12 years now with wonder finish I also have the 9mm conversion for it and it is an absolute pleasure to shoot with 9mm and the heavy frame and accurate. I had the usual fail to feed and replaced the mag spring and the recoil spring with heaver springs and polished the feed ramp and removed the sharp edge on the chamber so fail to feed are only once in a great while with the 10mm but the 9mm feeds without problem at all. I mostly shoot hornady 180gr hp/xtp with 10.5gr of aa7 it gives me around 1120fps for the 10mm. I even took a deer with it at about 22yds neck shot.

While I don't shoot full 10mm max loads very much I'm only about half a grain under max, and after 5 or 6 loadings the primer pockets start to get loose. Don't own any Tupperware, so I can't comment on what else might be going on at the base of the case there. All my 10mm's are either EAA's or Colt Deltas, and the case is well supported in the chamber. So when I load 10mm, in the case where the primer goes in TOO easily it gets swiped with a red magic marker, and left in the scrap boxes at Oakdale.

Any real world experience pushing a 180gr XTP to about 1250-1300fps with blue dot or power pistol (factory G20 barrel)? I have the manuals, just looking for real world results for my own curiosity. I have both these pwders on hand but could try a better suited powder if available.

In a 5" bbl 1911 the MAX, NEVER TO EXCEED!! load is a 180 bullet with 11.0 grains of Blue dot getting you 1300 even. In a contest between my 5"bbl 10mm's and my 4.4" bbl Witnesses, that 6 tenths of an inch costs you about 50 FPS. Been there, chronoed that.

Thanks a lot Sam, that's what I have found in the manuals to (some say max is 10.7). Started at 9.7 grains (yawn), just loaded some with 10.5 grains of Blue Dot....will check for pressure signs then will make the jump to 11 grains.

Alliants website also lists 11 grains as the max load for Blue Dot and a 180 grain pill, I've just never talked to someone who has actually DONE it. Do you crimp much with this load? What type of crimp?

3 mil taper crimp, and yes I measured it. Hope you got the stiffest springs Wolff sells for that gun...

Nope, stock Glock spring....should I get a new spring before proceeding? I've run some 165 grain Underwood ammo (1400fps) through it with no perceived issues.

First time posting and I have a lot to learn in not only reloading the "Ten" but my .300 RUM as well . Loaded thousands of shot shells and shot many many more , intensely .
Had a .45 in Nam but never shot it and also a Colt Python and only shot it a few times . My gun(s) were a set of 60's in an armored jeep and a 16 as my bailout gun . I want to load as close to max with the ten as I can , and where to get started ? I bought a RCBS starter kit sometime back and actually bought it for the .300 but now after having the ten and demanding the best chance for an excellent round I'm looking at getting it going . I've never had a need for a pistol but now I have 2 tens and a .40 . I ordered 500 rounds of PPU just to start getting comfortable shooting pistols again and maybe having some material to reload with along w/BB DT and some Remington . Coming with the kit is the Speer hand loading book but where do I go for a multitude of loads by different gunners , or does it work that way ?
Guys , I've never tried it but want to succeed . Any help would be appreciated .

I can teach you to reload, BUT I WILL NOT TEACH YOU TO LOAD ANYWHERE NEAR MAXIMUM LOADINGS.

There are far too many things to learn to even think about starting anywhere near a max loading.
I've had many favorable reviews about my teaching methods, I teach for safety and teach safe reloading practices.

If you don't agree with my methods, I recommend you working with Seismic Sam to develop High Pressure loadings.
He also enjoys working with special people.

+1 is there anything else for 10mm... I was unaware. ;)
