Recommend me a vacuum

Postby loose on Fri Jan 17, 2014 10:10 pm

What is everyone running a rt1200 using for a vacuum?
Or does anyone have a recommendation on a compact, not crazy loud vacuum?

Recommend me a vacuum

Postby RJWesleyIII on Sat Jan 18, 2014 8:59 am

I use a little dewalt shopvac when I run my trimmer. I made a adapter out of a cheap lowes vac attachment. It is a little loud so I just wear my head phones. I size, deprime and trim in one step. It's extremely fast and the trimmer is very consistent.

I got a fein mini turbo with auto on for around twohundred dollars (yes new.)several years ago. not sure how small or quiet it is, well it used to be quieter than a shopvac anyhow.

edit :they are for dust removal. very powerful. not sure what you're trying to do. because I know zero about reloading.

I tested out a little 3 gallon one last night, it had a long enough hose that I could set it outside the reloading room, which worked well but no one else was home either. Might have to just go the ear buds and music route

On a side note, at some point my ShopVac didn't seem to suck anymore. It took my quite some time to remove the 3ft brass birds nest from the hose.

Put your shop vac in garage and use PVC tubing to bring suction to your table.
A little creative wiring will allow you to have a switch at your loading bench to turn on outlet vac is plugged into in garage.
Use larger PVC than your flexible hose to stop clogging problems.
Multiple openings plugged with rubber stoppers allow for multiple sites for cleanup of little messes that always occur.
Just use a hose with a good fit to PVC inlet.
Most vacs do not have a high duty cycle, so turn off when not in use.

We have a Dyson animal and a Ridgid brand wet and dry canister-style shop-vac style unit ...... I don't have any opinions except they do suck on demand

Aerus. I have two of them.
Donald Trump got more fat women moving in one day than Michelle Obama did in eight years.

Fein 9-20-24 Turbo I Vacuum
6 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum with Auto-Start
The Fein Turbo I 6 gallon dust extractor vacuum has been redesigned with an optimized shape and 6 wheels instead of 4 for added stability. Also at an average of 62 decibels, the 9-20-24 is far quieter than most other popular vacuums. The variable suction control on the Turbo I saves energy and reduces noise level to an absolute minimum. 299$

they don't come with a floor attachment if you do get one and want one get 2 steel extension things and find the floor attachment with the two brushes not the one with the flippy thing 'forcarpet'

I don't feel like my recomendation was as bad as I did before now.
