Rochester Ammo Patrol (RAP)

This one is for those near Rochester...

I've managed to make it a year without panic buying or paying inflated prices, but it seems the ammo just isn't making its way down here as regularly as our neighbors to the north, or my timing just sucks.

I'll do my part to try and post my findings, but obviously I can't get out every day... hopefully there are enough of us to make this work as I know I could use some more 22LR and 9mm.

As of yesterday at lunch time:
No bulk 22LR or 100's packs of 9mm at Fleet Farm, Walmart or Gander Mountain.

Please post updates as you find them.

I hereby solemnly swear not to buy low and sell high, I genuinely could use some ammo.

I was at the north Walmart last weekend and I thought I saw a bunch of 9mm at the bottom of the ammo case, even one of those ammo cans full of it.

I get down to Rocherster every week or so, I'll keep my eyes open and post what I see for ammo.

Lots of 9mm at the north WM today. All 50 rd boxes though.

9mm aplenty at the north Walmart. 100rd Federal 25.77/box.

I picked up a couple of those 100 fed boxes foe $25.77

Tulammo 100 pks 9mm at N Wal-Mart for $23ish.

Quite a few boxes of 50 Fedeal for $14.77

I'm good for now, but I see they lifted the 3 box restriction on anything but .22lr.

Rain boots for kids at WM tonight. All the above listed as well as the cheap black box tulammo@$10.xx/50rds.

Guy told me they are some .22lr in this am.

Got a friend interested in my Ruger sr9c. I want a full size M&P9. Gander has them on sale for $499--cheaper than FF or Coyote(if they had one).

Anyway, put it on layaway at Gander. As usual, they offer to sell me ammo--they hold some back for buyers. Picked up1400 rds of Winchester golden bullets at .05/rd.

Not the best ammo, but I'll take it. Decent price too.

I was at FF late this afternoon. No 22, slim pickings on 9mm. No 22 at Dicks Sporting Goods. Clerk said they dont carry 9mm.
Update Mon 3/24. None, nada, 0 22 at WM north today around 5:15PM
OBTW- No Spamcans of 7.62x54r at FF on Sun. Not even a space on the shelf for it any longer.

I poke my head into FF and WM now and then to see what the ammo situation is like (dismal, that is). FF has tons of 40 and 45 though, I think thats all the ammo plants are making nowadays. I think your best option is to look around for bulk ammo online. Any of the brick and mortar stores are going to be higher prices and sporatic for ammo, not to mention the waste of gas and time looking.
