Tons of .22 ammo at the gun show.

Seems each table at the Brooklyn Park gun show had bulk and single boxes of .22 ammo, but of coarse everyone was asking gouger pricing. Seen several dealers with 20 bulk boxes setting on their table.

Even the show patrons are walking around selling or trading .22 ammo now. Had a guy with an ammo box full of .22 ammo selling it and using it to trade for guns at $.10 per round. The dealers were buying it and putting it right back on their table for more money still.

They can pound sand. I would rather not shoot at all than pay those prices.

Head up to Cabela's in Rogers, I saw .22 ammo there for $2.99/box of 50 earlier today.

No, don't bother.
I was there around 1pm (give or take). They had 10-15 boxes of cci. I was with someone, so I got 4 boxes (2 box limit p/person). Went right back after checkout (5minutes) to buy more. G O N E ! ! !

Kinda defeats the concept of the purchase limit, huh? No wonder there is none on the shelves.

It is going to eventually catch up.
The ammo producers will catch up to demand and there will be ammo on the self at acceptable prices and the gougers that fueled the shortage problem will take the hit in the wallet.

I don't feel the least bit guilty. My 12 year old daughter just started shooting in March. Until then, I had ever bought .22 ammo in my life. At the range, I paid $12 for a box of 50. Her first day she went through 3 boxes. Last week at cabelas I managed 2 boxes of 50. This week I managed 4 boxes. So, I have a massed an enormous stockpile of..........wait for it.......300 rounds, which she'll probably go through on her next range visit. At least I'm not reselling it.

Well, if there's TONS of it at the gunshows then that's a good sign it not selling at least as fast as it was before.

There's hope

Yep, TON's of it. There were three or four tables there that had 6 to 10 bulk boxes of the Federal 550 packs and almost very table had the Federal Champion 50 round boxes on them. Funny part was watching the dealers out bid each other for the ammo a show patron had in a ammo can for sale. He sold his last 725 for over $65 to a dealer near our table.

I am going to laugh when the gougers get stuck with way overpriced ammo. One I know has 2 lifetime supply. He tried selling me some at $80 a brick. I laughed at him.
