powder

Fyi. As of today Friday June 20 at 3:30 pm there was cfe pistol, titegroup, and win autocomp at the Woodbury cabelas. There wasn't a sign up for limits but, I went in there for something else and one of the associates noticed. There will probably be a 2 lb limit now, but it was there. I was going to post sooner but I now have water in my basement, and in the process of cleaning it. Titegroup 6 left, cfe pistol at least 6 that I saw, win autocomp 6.

Gunstop updated there powder list yesterday. Shows Bullseye, Reddot, Power Pistol, AA9 and 3 of the Vihtavuori pistol powders, as being in stock.

Just got back from Ahlman's, lots of Titegroup and CFE as well as most rifle and shotgun powders.

Yeah, all my firearms activity is on hold until I get the basement cleaned up. The kids are coming tomorrow. Mine isn't too bad, just gotta get the carpeting out and make sure everything is off the floor directly, save for the plastic supports of the workbenches and the shelving units.

Yep. I was able to pick up some Power Pistol and Bullseye yesterday morning. Very happy to not only see powder in stock, but powder that I actually use. With all the shortages lately, I've been wondering if I was going to have to start coming up with some "creative" recipes with the more obscure powders.

I bought a couple pounds of 4227 which I haven't used before. Shouldn't be a problem once I read up on it.

Last place I saw 296 was Wolfs Den. The AA-9 at Gunstop might work for similar loads?, I have not used it before.

Did a quick check of loads for 357 Mag and 44 Mag in Hornady #9, and where 296/H110 were used there was also a loading for AA-9. AA-9 is a wee bit faster on the relative burn rate list, FWIW. If by some chance you come across a caliber where it lists H110/296 but NOT AA-9, then I think you're asking for trouble if you start experimenting without a LOT of experience AND a chrono. No chrono, no tickee, no washee...
