SIDEBAR - if you are using Critical Duty in a Shield, you should get different ammo. Critical Duty was no designed for compact pistols. It's designed for 4" or longer barrels. Anything shorter and they are not guaranteed to expand due to insufficient velocity. In real world testing out of compact carry pistols, they are expanding poorly or not at all. This causes them to perform like FMJ. Hornady designed the Critical Defense for compact carry pistols, as it expands at a lower velocity.

Yup. Es no bueno from 3" barrels.

Federal 147gr HST (P9HST2) performs exceptionally in 3" barrels and 50rd boxes can be had for about $30.
