Do they make LED bulbs to replace florescent lights? Don't really have an issue with my current lights but do have thin cardboard over the light area that would shine down on my digital scale. It works.

Have done a lot of LED over the years and definitely with HammAR on this, Cree is as good as it gets whether it's single flashlight LED or bulbs.

13,000 lumens.. Sunburn city, does GLARE mean anything to you. Those lamps are meant to be mounted way up high, not house ceiling heights. I have used twin tube flourescent lamps for years with no problem. I have two twin tube units over my bench and they produce no shadow problems encountered with bulb type lights. Depending on how high above your bench surface your lights are mounted, you could do very nicely with thin line 18 inch fixtures mounted under your cabinets. The nice thing is that lights are easy to add on later if you need more light.

I salvaged a set of halogen track lights to put up over my bench. I can move them laterally and also aim them.

I added a magnifying work light to my set up since I am using a spare bedroom and don't have a lot of lighting options. It allows me to adjust for the task at hand and I can read my brass with these tired eyes!

I would stay away from the ring fluorescents because they fade over time. Think $20 to $100 depending on your preferences.

I use halogen track lighting mounted behind and above presses. I can slide and re-direct light to where it is most needed.

Works for me.
